ya this was totally on me i got a few steam gift cards and since i dont use steam i choose to sell them online. i was contacted by someone who said they could only pay me in bit coin and i was like hey well its worth a try. this is totally on me as i am fairly new to actually selling things online and admitatly a little naive as to certain scams. thanks for the imput everyone. i doubt its gonna help but i am going to contact steam and see if there is a way that they can penalize who entered theses codes (I sold them 2). and maybe they could help if i send them a picture of the 2 codes i sent this person. i doubt it will help and i dont even really care that much about getting my money back. now i just want to penalize this scammer if at all possible.
So, the man who bought your giftcards tells you to use cryptake exchange? Or you just found the site somewhere?
If he bought the steam from you without referring to use cryptake well that man might be legit who bought your steam giftcards. But if he refers you to cryptake exchange I believe that he owns the sites and use for scamming.
Next time go directly here on the forum to ask if the website is safe or not.
And use a proper wallet where you can receive your BTC if you sold something online.
No, there's no way to find those scammers after they scam someone and it's impossible to penalize them.
All of cryptake whois info is fake that mostly use for many websites.
