can anyone confirm what the "max recipients" and "max recipients if whitelisted" limits are? i'm getting at capped at 12.

we've been running a forum poker game. unfortunately sending out PMs is becoming a bigger and bigger hassle since the list has maybe 5 dozen people on it now, and growing. is the whitelisted limit still 30? if so, does anyone know which staff are willing/able to whitelist myself and @efialtis, who organize the games?

thanks.

You are automatically whitelisted if you buy a copper membership. You don't need to wear the copper membership, just own it. You can also be whitelisted for free by any staff member and a few non-staff, but we're going to need some reason to think that you actually deserve it. Do not ask me for free whitelisting.

Whitelisting is a not a license to spam. You will be immediately banned if you're found spamming, even if you bought a copper membership (and you will not be refunded).
If you are sending out PMs to dozens of people, you might be encountering an issue with hitting the max PM/day limit. With you having >500 activity, it doesn't appear that whitelisting will result in additional limits.

You can create a slack workspace, a telegram group chat, or some other off site platform to communicate more effectively with large groups of people.

Details on whitelisting are above but remember that rule. I don't know how moderators will assess and judge which PMs are unsolicited ones after receiving reports. Just be careful when sending bunches of PMs.
When there are reports on your PMs, and your PMs are considered as bad ones, the total number of PMs you send out will play important role for moderators to lift their hammers, with different levels of temp ban.
29. Sending unsolicited PMs, including but not limited to advertising and flood, is not allowed.

as far as I know, you'll have to let them know that you want to join the private poker tournament in order to receive a PM from them. so I don't think unsolicited PM is a problem since they won't be PM'ing random people.

anyway, if you are interested here's their thread https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=5217547.0

it's not the per day limit. i don't have the error in front of me, but it states a 12 recipient max per PM. the quoted limits are not accurate.

i actually bumped that thread earlier today to inquire about the inaccurate limits in the OP, but a moderator deleted my post. according to that post, i should be capped at 30, not 12.

You can create a slack workspace, a telegram group chat, or some other off site platform to communicate more effectively with large groups of people.

very few people are gonna join a slack or telegram group just for this. it's a bitcointalk community event and the PMs are not unsolicited, so i don't see why using the PM system would be a problem.

It seems that the max recipient limit for your account should be 30 recipients per PM as per described in the limits by theymos and you would probably extend it to the same amount even if you get whitelist by any staff, it would still remain 30. Better option would be contacting theymos directly.

I would agree, not going with off forum platforms as an alternative as it would decrease the credibility of the forum in running friendly casino games here and don't think many of them are willing to go off that way.
