In the mainstream world, there are traditional VOIP services which accept Fiat as payment either through a payment processor like PayPal or through credit/debit cards directly. I'm well aware of good VOIP services like Vonage and Ooma, but none accept Bitcoin payments. Crypto is known to be quite resilient in times of turmoil, so it could be a better alternative than existing Fiat.

To my surprise, there are no VOIP services out there (AFAIK) which accept Bitcoin directly. I'd be intrigued to know if there are any good VOIP service providers out there that would accept Bitcoin for my own benefit? The more crypto options it offers for payment, the better.

Any help, suggestions, or recommendations will be highly appreciated. Thanks in advance Smiley

I found maybe something that can help you, and according to what can be read in FAQ among other things they accept BTC as a means of payment. Since I have never used this service, I recommend that you check for any review or try with a smaller amount of BTC.

http://www.callwithus.com/

As for other popular services that do not provide BTC payment, why not send them a simple e-mail and ask for that option - it is very easy to allow users to pay with BTC, after all, money is money, whether it's fiat or crypto.

Google + "voip services accepting bitcoin" = https://cryptwerk.com/companies/voip/
The website contains a list of VoIP companies accepting Bitcoin and other cryptocurrencies.

Here's another company, http://www.lightbox.ca/
They offer VoIP services and accepts Bitcoin according to this article https://paybis.com/blog/companies-that-accept-bitcoin/

I don’t know why you want to directly accept Bitcoin payment, but it is better to exchange your cryptocurrencies into a Visa or gift card and use them in Vonage and Ooma.
Generally, this is a list of some of the sites that may be useful[1].
If the purpose is to make calls, then there is a good service[2], they offer the advantage of renting a number and call directly (not VOIP)[3] and then you can pay using BTC. "Thank you Khaled for recommending it." I don't trust them, do research again before use.

Quick search show me these VOIP services,

I don't perform any research, so please do your own research.

Thanks. But I'm often on the hunt for VoIP services which allow me to make calls to traditional phone numbers. Calling directly online to other people using a VoIP software works, but it's not what I'm looking for. A VoIP service which accepts Bitcoin and allows you to make calls to any phone number worldwide would be a blast to use. If I'm not mistaken, it's possible to refill your Skype account's credits with Bitcoin. I used to find that option before, but now I can't see it anywhere. At least, the Microsoft Store accepts Bitcoin directly but that's for purchasing apps or games. At least, Skype allows you to make calls to traditional phone numbers right from your computer in a very convenient way. If it accepted Bitcoin, it would've been my VoIP service of choice for international calls right from the comfort of my own home. Smiley

This is great! Thanks again for your help. I'll start with a small amount of BTC just to give it a try. Based on the reviews I've seen online, it seems like a legitimate VoIP service. Accepting Bitcoin directly is a blast, especially for unbanked people. In my case, I'm short of Fiat because of the coronavirus pandemic (as I've spent most of my cash for necessities) so paying with Bitcoin directly for online services is the best option for me right now.

I'll definitely try sending an email to traditional VoIP services like Vonage and Ooma to see if they'd accept Bitcoin as payment. It'll be a blast to pay with Bitcoin for any of these services as they allow you to make calls to traditional phone numbers. You make calls to anyone worldwide just as you would with ordinary phone companies like AT&T or T-Mobile. The only difference is that the service is completely provided online at the comfort of your own home. There's no need to visit a kiosk physically to get phone service, so I believe VoIP is the future of phone calling as we speak. Wink

I'm glad if the link was helpful, and if you try the service it might be good to write your own impressions, it might be helpful for someone interested in the same service.

This is the best way that we throw at least a bug in their ear, so although they probably won't respond immediately, they might start thinking about it. What is important is to explain to them in the simplest possible way how payment processors work, and that they are actually intermediaries between them as a service provider and customers like you. Acceptance of BTC as a means of payment does not necessarily imply any interaction with it as the seller receives a fiat into his account.

This might be a way to get their attention, but it really depends on how you phrase it as some people as you very well know are vary cautious when it comes to crypto. The response would most likely reflect their resources and if they're able to commit to adding this since some legal forms would need to be taken. Nonetheless, this is a good approach.
