They are taking 4% more than the price for vouchers. Checked the price of buying a 5000 voucher and noticed I had to pay Rs. 5200 for the same. It's obvious this would happen as they take into account volatility too but it ends up being too expensive.
Are you sure? I checked mobile recharge coupon yesterday and charges were 1.9% on top of fiat value which I think is acceptable since withdrawing money to bank via WazirX and other modes cost almost same or more than that.
Also the registrant details are hidden so could not get much from there. If at all the site is genuine, it would make a great site for exchanging bitcoins for such vouchers.
Indeed. This website will be on my radar too. Let's see how good it is once market comes back to normal. If it is genuine site then using bitcoin will become lot easier for petty expenses.
Since the crypto ban is lifted in India, I feel, we need a service like Bitpay in India, where people can order a prepaid visa card which can be used in any POS terminal in India. That will really help in adoption.
That would be such a life saver service. However, I doubt even if a company starts this venture in India, such card will be declined for most of the services. I once used a service that goes by the name of 'Ewire' and generates virtual debit card. However, almost every site where I tried to use that card declined my card. At last I used that card balance to recharge my mobile on Ewire app itself.
is this service exclusive to India or also present for other countries?
It's worldwide (some countries are exception like NK), but works in most of countries. You can change country on homepage and also paying via LN gives 2% discount.
Thanks for looking into that for me.
