What will crypto space look like if all the coins we have now is just 20 pieces? And that is it, no thousands or hundreds allow, I wonder how profitable they will be because there will be badass huge volume and huge investors too, I think crypto problem is the quantity of coins we have

The market cap will be concentrating on those 20 coins. This is just my prediction only but remember if that will not enough if we have only 20 coins. As far as i know, if each coin to be used as a tokenization for its platform. I think if we are only seeing a small amount of coins and we will not have a huge community.

Large quantities of coins doesn't mean we have huge community, upon thousands of coins in crypto space all we have is deceits and betrayals from new projects, the fact is we have too many and it's not helping but ruining trusts in crypto space

I really hoped for limited coins in crypto space, if this happens there will be limited room for scammers and there will be better trust, even projects will have unlimited trading volumes and every investors will be happy, I don't see reason for having thousands of coins where as 90% of these coins are rubbish projects

The average that becomes a junk coin is a new project in which they could not maintain in the crypto space, it had already happened years before and even today there are still thousands of coins available when only 20% is used by investors for trading and investment.
Hope that in the future the crypto space will be better and many new projects will become better mixtures.

There is only one bad thing about it.
It cannot prove how good another is if there is not much of a competition. That is why Bitcoin and Ethereum is still on the top.
It has been proven that they are difficult to reach in terms of feature and popularity.

No, that is what I think and all the altcoins circulating in the market now compete with each other to grow and become the best. Based on the data I got on the coinmarketcap website, we currently have 5281 types of cryptocurrency in circulation and have a role in market capitalization. Investors, traders can choose the cryptocurrency that they like and when the amount is limited to tens, I am sure cryptocurrency is not as popular now.

Every one want to make thier own crypto just for money. If we only have a few coins then devide all coins marketcap to 20 then you will have idea how much is the price of 20 coins by now.
They are creating other crypto currency for one reasons its because they want to create a coin that much more usable compare to btc they offer something that bitcoin dont have, but actually dont help in crypto space in terms of adoption.

Market cap for each coin will be huge and you can also think what crypto will look like if there's no altcoin and it's just bitcoin. Everyone will invest to bitcoin and keep it for sure.
We don't actually need a lot of coins, let's wish that few years from now many altcoins will be gone and the best will remain.

It would obviously concentrate all the money in those 20 coins and their price would raise a lot. However I don't think it would be better for crypto market in general, we need new ideas and new competition because the space is constantly evolving even thought what we have right now is pretty ridiculous, more than 5000 coins is crazy and is impossible to keep up with the constant updates, and most of them are get rich schemes and have no intrinsic value.

There will be scarcity and price will stabilized if we have few tokens in the market. Its best if the tokens can be less than 100 Bitcoin can be used to make payments for other projects instead of own tokens.

The vast majority of market value is concentrated in the top 10 cryptocurrencies, everything from number 11 downwards combined contributes less than 20% of the total market.

Don't let it shock you that if in reality there are only 20 tokens today in crypto currency 80% will still be shit.
and the few stand out tokens will continue to share the big volumes and investors, while the rest battle with pump and dumps until they fade away.

What we experience today in thousands of tokens, what exactly what was experienced in the early days of crypto currency, the only difference i notice, is that investors has wisened up.

this is a very complicated issue, there are many altcoins that have no purpose at all. So here comes the question of quality and what really makes people invest in altcoins. we cannot prohibit people from doing what they want with their money, what we can do Is be patient so that one day this market will be very competitive and only good altcoins will survive. I believe that 5 years from now many altcoins will not survive

Although there are so many shitcoins out there, we have to remember we are all free to do anything we like on here. I don't support scams and shitcoins, but you can't limit the idea of freedom.

Yes i absolutely agree with you only those alt's will survive that have good and working product with active development team. If you see the ico stats many of the projects are dead.  And talking about limiting the coins to 20 is not practical like in every day life we see same product available from many different manufactures.  So if there is demand someone will eventually supply that ..

This is really true, less number of coins means that there will be enough competition among these coins which will cause the team to keep working hard so as to be relevant thus leading to more volume and more investors just like you pointed out. Yes, one of the problems of crypto is the quantity of coins in which many where created and used as a means to scam, some for pump and dump; of which we have seen many of them. Also, from the thousands of coins out there in the crypto space only a lesser few actually knows what it means to be in crypto and such coins are the ones constantly growing and attracting more users.

That's right, diversity will create positive competition in the cryptocurrency ecosystem. Each developer will try to offer the best service and innovation in order to meet the needs of consumers. These diverse needs provide a good opportunity to be used as the basis for making unique innovations, so it is normal for many cryptocurrencies to develop to date.

I also agree things probably wouldn't change much. I see and have seen people invest in newer coins, especially around 2017, but there's much less of those people than the majority that just trades the few large-cap coins like Bitcoin and Ethereum. I still think it'd be horrible if there were only 20 coins being traded, though, because the Top X coins change all the time, for better and for worse, and innovations come with these newer coins. Just take a look at the screenshots on Coinmarketcap from years back.
