as OP BitcoinGirl.Club said, making a segwit address is not difficult..  in my experience, you only need to download the Electrum application (Android, Windows, iOs) and then start making a new Bitcoin address, you will be given a choice whether you want the segwit address or not, the reason why the OP uses segwit addresses is to save fees..

I might say just pay attention to what it was. A charity isn't just a tax, it is a form of donation where you can help the others, yes we have the government but still there are people who can't reach by these government.

A last wish of a dying man won't really affect you unless you'll be part of it. So just leave it as it is if you can't help.
