I'm a huge fan of ballet, but not a huge fan of their price over load value when it comes to their few pre loaded options. i guess we will see

Imagine being so lame, you have to bump your own sales posts. Damn lying leviathans

Exactly, this really looks like a low effort thing for such well established company. I am glad they came out with coins but really wish it was a more unique image

I agree - its much cheaper to buy them unloaded and load yourself - they know this and that is why the pures are only sold loaded now.

Have to agree with you...this design is used so much by everyone. I would think they could've put some more effort in coming with a unique design that would associate the coin with Ballet going forward.

I read somewhere that loaded Ballet Cards are treated as securities when sent loaded, so take care that your items don't come with the labels pealed off and redeemed by various boarder control authorities.

unless I am mistaken - they are not loaded until after you receive them.

Hey thanks! Yes, that was the thread (don't know why, but I thought it was a much older topic).
As long as the Customs official was clued up, then being funded after the card arrived would be okay.

How did you get them before being on sale? The coins are interesting, is there any pricing available?

what is a shame is that Ballet specifically asked people to not share any review of the coin until 1/3/2024 - the official launch date.
however that was for the "testers" I think quite a few people got one as a "2023 Happy Holidays" gift. And that card did not ask but also stated that official release date was Jan 15th 2024 - which appears to be the "selling date" vs the 1/3/2024 "launch date"
so maybe they will consider all early posts/threads/reviews etc as being from those who received the Holiday one vs the test one sent to reviewers.

i think you can get a Ballet coin loaded with 0.001 BTC for $75, if i read this section on the website: https://www.ballet.com/coin/

I am surprised their coin is bland/generic and not some new kick-ass design. I also have a hard time assessing the collectible value of Ballet products. My personal opinion is there is very little premium opportunity in them, but I will be thrilled if they have some eventual appreciation.
HOWEVER, I also cannot imagine the risks of selling these loaded products right now. Only 25 US States will allow them to sell there, securities questions etc. I bet they decided to go with a design that is recognizable to the general public due to all the other risk factors; playing it safe on design seems appropriate. I'm pulling for them gaining mass adoption.
I am inspired by the risks they are taking and the products they are testing. I'm a big fan of BTCC/Ballet/B. Lee/others. Keep up the good work!

Beware of scammers. I will never discuss the sale of Collectibles on Telegram or any other messaging client outside the forum.

I would imagine over time there will be certain Ballet wallets that hold some collectible value, but your mention of them gaining mass adoption is the real focus!!
