I came across some members of this website, proofofwork.vip,  seems they are actually paying and it’s new
Can someone please advise me

There are several different types of Bitcoin clients. The most secure are full nodes like Bitcoin Core, which will follow the rules of the network no matter what miners do. Even if every miner decided to create 1000 bitcoins per block, full nodes would stick to the rules and reject those blocks.

It's not legit, actually a ponzi scheme.

I suspect them, my friend did it, he does Ponzi a lot . He got paid so I am baffled  what  is their intention if they paying people for real
