Unfortunately, the only tool available to us here is the forum search.  But this does not give us the correct number.

Actually we cant blame people from talking about and discussing this, as social media and every parts of the planet experiencing a global crisis and this will be the theme even here for a very long period of time. Im not sure if theymos can do something about it or even moderator can merge all topics but that would be a lots of work. Even local section and other important one has been swarming with corona virus topic. It will be gone once this pandemic leaves too.

But how reliable/accurate is this result? Because Google could include two different links (say links to 2 different posts) from the same BTCTalk thread page.

not reliable, but it does give us the idea or the estimate of how much the word is being used right now. but I agree, other than knowing that the word is being talked about by a lot of people what help does it do knowing how much the is being used.

I mean... knowing statistics of the coronavirus infections, deaths and recoveries surely is very important data. If we compare the joke made by admin for April 1st and this flood of threads that mention COVID-19/Corona, we can conclude that the forum is actually infected by global hysteria virus about a pandemic that not only kills people, but completely changes our way of life. It seems to me that this forum pandemic of ours will not just disappear, but that it will soon get a serious competitor in BTC halving.
