The whole country is at halt as you know after the PM announced a 21 day lockdown from March 24 to April 14, but will it extend beyond it? I have a feeling that it will not even if majority of media and researches saying it will be. I think major drastic steps will be taken but not extension of lockdown because there's really no "guaranteed" statistics that says further lockdown can help.

Look at the graph even after the lock down still there is no sign of any betterment in number of active corona cases but the numbers are really low compared to a country other highly affected countries so if the numbers are keep rising in this way until April 14 then we have no other choice than extending the lockdown period.

In my perspective the lockdown will be 100% extended. The situation is getting worse day by day all over India.
Maharashtra being the most effected state is getting hundreds of cases on daily basis.
With the condition being so worse, I don't think there is any other option than to extend the lockdown.
Only if the lockdown is extended, the cases will stop rising after a certain time.
If the lockdown is removed the number of positive cases will drastically increase and the number of people dying will spike up.
The government will surely not want that and will have to extend the lockdown.

In Maharashtra it will defo increase but I don't think it may increase in states where 0 cases have been reported. There wouldn't be any point but it all depends on the PM's final decision on 12th.

It is going to be extended for sure, because my district collector ordered to close even the grocery shops and only allowed to open 3 times a week on respective days and more importantly there has been no case reported yet in my district so what will be the situation of other places, just imagine it yourself.

Possibly upto may 15 or until end of may is indeed to control the community spread because even India locked the country in early stages we still having nre cases every day with no travel history.

Still now the lockdown is until April 30, but we have to get lower cases anywhere before removing the lockdown.
The government is not going to open everything once and the cases will arise so we have to prepare our self by sitting inside home for a certain time.

Prime Minister said the lockdown will extend until may 3 so we have to stay home and stay safe for new more weeks from now but he said after april 20 there will be some relaxation on the lockdown imposed where corona spread is very minimal and also they will announce who can work, which factories can run after April 20.
