Also, for gambling i can separate not more than 1 % of my budget for month. Because mostly, i lose it, so send something bigger will be just wasting money.
That's a very safe allocation in gambling, I understand that most of us are really losing in gambling, so 1% is really something we can afford to lose. However, for me, I don't allocate 1% only as I don't earn a lot of money from any source, so let's say I only get $1,000 per month as my net income, then I would only gamble $10 per month, I think there's no fun on that.

Maybe even more, because if i lost 10 dollars i will not be frustrated for money which i could use in more useful ways (like it would be with 1000 buks) And yeah, argument about 'making money" is invalid too, because in gambling you always lost in long distance. So it's more good to lost less

So it's more good to lost less I always support the idea to gamble with as little as possible, so I'm glad to see that someone is able to have fun with just 1% of the monthly budget. As for me, 1% is never enough. Even though making money with gambling is not my aim, I spend around 5% of my monthly budget on it, because I find it boring to win $1-$2 after 2-3 hours of playing in a poker tournament, or to earn just 10k sats after a winning roll with 0.1% win chance on dice. It's strange, but that's how it is: on the one hand, it's always fun to win, no matter the money, but, at the same time, money matters, at least to some degree. Winning less money than you can buy a bottle of a good beer with is not that entertaining. But that's me. Currently. I think I should work on improving my imagination.

Not really because i only bet amounts that i can afford to loss. I think those people who does that are really addicted to it or are making it as a source of income although it's really difficult and extremely risky if someone is planning to make it as a regular income.
Gambling sites should also add some gambling history so players could keep track on how much they've win.

do you registerhow much you separate for gambling? do you see it as an investment?
if yes, how do you track it? simples spreadsheets, physical notebooks or maybe some different way?
I never thought of that I just want to be entertain and if I'm going to list my winnings and losses, it will not become entertainment anymore, it will look like an investment plan, and it's hard to invest in gambling you need a huge amount of money and take a lot of time to study the system, but in the end it will still luck that will decide the factor.

I do it by watching the statistics on the sites where I play. They are always well done and easily accessible and show me my bets, profits, the percentage of wins and all that. They even draw charts. Why would I need to run a spreadsheet or something for that? Maybe gamblers who go to casinos need to do that, but online gamblers have all the work done for them.

That's why people place bets on large amounts of money in the hope of hitting the jackpot. That is why a bet on a large amount is very exciting and brings more emotions than a bet on a few bucks

I think that feature will not give different too much since many gamblers will not use that feature to know how much money they used to play gambling. But if we can gamble with knowing the amount of money that we should use, we don't have to afraid of the big loss because we can know when to stop gambling. Keeping track of your gambling can help you to know how much money you already use so you can introspect yourself if that amount is too big for you or not. If you think that the money is too big, you need to reduce the amount so you can prevent the big lose.

Definitely, that's why there is more edge from an online casinos as they can not just provide satisfaction but statistics to the games played by the gamblers. It is also a show of support and care to the gamblers whether they are getting lost too much and it signifies that they might need to somehow stop betting for a while and spend time with their losses. Though, it will not be as much important for gamblers that have a mindset to always recover their losses when losing too much in a game.

Good reasoning. This is more of a habit with your finances whether it will be for gambling, leisure, budget planning and other stuffs that you will get involved spending your money. For people that do this kind of habit listing things that they are spending money, they're likely to list their losses and wins.

Why should a gambler have a record of how much money they spend on gambling and how much is earned ? If we all always think about how we should control our finances, why do we have to bet ?
Do not make gambling solely as a place for you to make money, because gambling is a place where you spend time and money to get pleasure even though we have the opportunity to bring victory.

Even if we have a record of gambling it is useless because we will regret it because so much has been spent on gambling but if people don't care then they run out no matter as long as the fun they get for them but I see very rarely people like that because gambling is now on average want big luck. So gambling will only spend money, time and even if addicted will be difficult to control, but they want to keep winning in the gambling.

It would be useful to add a survey to this topic. I’m very interested in how many players keep statistics. Obviously, any player (the vast majority) over the long distance will have a loss from gambling. But when losses alternate with winnings, it is more difficult to notice. It seems to me that if many players had seen full statistics on their game, they would have changed their attitude towards gambling.

Maybe for a gambler who thinks only about money-oriented, they can do it. But for a gambler who commonly plays only for fun, having a record like that is useless. To be honest, I never tracked my funds or how much I spent money so far. I think it is not needed and only rises another burden on our minds.

Keeping it track won't uplift our chances to win but only it gives depression seeing how much we lose. Chasing those losses is not really a good idea, we know gambling is a luck-based game and it certainly ain't happen all the time. And by making this way, it only leads us to something worse and possibly more disappointment that can affect our decision. And for me, it is better to have nothing about the records, and forgetting about the past will help to ease your minds and gamble normally as you did before.

Surely no correlation between winning and keeping track of our gambling record. Keeping track may be related to how good we manage our money or how bad we wasted money so far. I think we don't need to track our record, what for guys? There is no advantage of applying that way. As you said, it just makes us depressed or regrets about what we have done. Avoid it!!

To be honest, I never tracked my funds or how much I spent money so far. I think it is not needed and only rises another burden on our minds. Serious gamblers who after with profits are known to calculate the amount of money that they are using from this activities. Balancing the breakdown of the actual results gives them ideas on which strategy are working and which is not and needed to improved. Common to those who have enough time to assess and observe each days, weeks or months of playing, they are the one who understand the use of this tracking journal.

I actually allocate an amount after paying all my debts, bills, and buying all my necessities. From that I allocate some funds for my extra activity. I don't personally keep a record of how much I've won or lost because it will only make you regret and think of all the things you could've bought with that amount of money.

There is an advantage, you will see it if you really lose more often. I just realized it recently, if you will just take it positively you will also realize that keeping a record of your gambling will help you to limit yourself from doing the same thing every time you gamble. Instead of thinking that this will make you depressed, you can turn this negativity to your advantage.

For some people, it can make them depressed when they see the number, especially the red number. But for other people, perhaps, when they see the number, they will think about limiting the money itself, and they can also think about quit gambling for a while or forever. I am sure that they can take the benefits of that track or record, especially for people who can think about what is the point for having a track or record. Behind that, there will be something that we can use for ourselves.
