We need some time to test the platform and the other's suggestion (but I like the one I quoted - will refer to OP's review and self-review) and make sure that a good number of people want to join so that the effort will not be wasted.

Before, I set up a Mobile Legends challenge here but only 1 team accept the challenge. And last year, I want to set up an online billiard friendly competition via MiniClip. Others show interest but only 1 push for registration (@asu).

Well then, the discussion about these should be in a separate thread. Let's see. I will practice first too for a refresh lol.

That would be a great website considering there are a lot of other casual games that you could do with it. The factor right now is that you are going to take a long time (depending on the level of the competition) in Chess just to finish a game. I'm wondering if there are serious people who want that?

For some people, they want a quick games like dice that's why dice is on top of casinos right now. Chess game would take so much time especially when both end are great with it, so I guess it is a turn down however there are people who is much competent with this kind of game and you can attract them with it. I'm just curious on how would that be possible and how the bets are going to place.

Probably an online tournament would be the ideal practice here. Starting an online competition would be nice.

Online tournament would be good, but it needs to click first in the market. I love the idea of online chess competition held in one of gambling platform.

 I do not like cheaters, so l play with a very short time per game - 2 minutes + 1 second per turn.
Playing at this pace becomes really adrenaline. And after game it is very difficult to fall asleep or focus on something for me. Therefore i play online rarely.

doing this game drains your energy and mind but does not get money, it will be more exciting if this game is used for gambling as well so that what you play can get results that can help economic conditions because when you win against a bot or other people can get money.

If i add monetary interest when playing chess, my mind will finally explode  I am not ready to make such sacrifices and risks. It may make sense to bet on professional chess athletes, but I'm not interested in betting. For me, chess is adrenaline which I rarely allow myself.

Maybe if a p2p chess game or a mini chess tournament here happens I can suggest that the organizer should offer a side bet from non-players to also enjoy themselves and have chills on the tournament. I don't really know how this would work but I hope it's a good suggestion because not all are good enough or knows how to play chess.

i am a Chess Player since Elementary Grade and my Father thought me how to play but until now i have not seen any Site/Platform that Offers like a table?for us to play with friends?
Mind OP to please let us know if ever you Find one because we will surely love to play and use that site because in Times like this that Social distancing is implemented there is no way that me and my friends to play Chess so if there is a site that offers this we will surely grab and play (of course with small Bet for more thrilling game)

Well, I guess that's might be fun especially if it's only involved for only bitcointalk users. Just recently the poker game set up for only bitcointalk users been gaining some traction and slowly increasing on the number of participants. I think if there are really chess enthusiasts here and just play for fun or even love betting you can get more to play with, besides, skills and talent do need in this game it's where real genius and strategist played.

Set it up once and repeatedly play it will get traction. Just try it out first.

I feel it's not exciting to play chess online because I cannot see what the opponent face and I think that is what other people feel if they play chess online too. Because I see in real life, how excited people are playing chess face to face, and they can bluff the opponent to win the games, especially if the match has another people that watch the games by life. But on the internet, I don't search the chess online because I think it is better to play it by offline so we can see what his reaction on that game.

There was a platform i used back years that we can play with my friends Online but the site is not Gambling so if you want to make a Bet towards each other then you need to send it directly to the opponent but i cant find in my list but there is a existing site that's one i am sure.

Mostly you can only find casino games like poker, roulette, blackjack and dice. I dont think there is an online casino that supports that type of game because it has low demand of player request. Mainly people only bet their money in sports or casino, a petition could be nice if you make a thread with decent number of people interested of playing chess. Business owner of gambling sites might consider adding another game.

Don't you have people around in you that can play with you? I remember my cousins are very good at this game while I am just a beginner until now. But they did not involve gambling in here. They just used it to go to different places representing our school, our town, then our province.

Betting in chess sound as a nice way to gamble, the problem is people could use a computer in the hard level to play chess against other people, that way the gamewill be rigged and the winner will be the one with a smarter PC.

So, if you find a place to bet on chess, i would like to recommend you to not place a bet.

People using computers to play chess on line is a big issue even when there is no money involved and there have been many cases of people cheating by using computers in regular tournaments, as such trying to somehow create a betting platform in which chess is part of it will be incredibly challenging since it will be almost impossible to detect the majority of the cheaters and most likely it is the reason why I have never seen a casino offering chess as a gambling game, the challenge is simply too big and most gamblers will distrust the results and most likely they will avoid chess as gambling game defeating the whole reason for casinos to offer chess to their clients.

In most of the homes chess is the game that's been played much on this lockdown. When it is being played online with bets surely large number of users will enroll into it. As of now I haven't come across any such websites specific for chess with cryptocurrency acceptance. Maybe after this thread some of the gambling websites might have added chess to the list of games played online with cryptocurrencies.

As it is completely skill based game, surely it'll be more interesting while gambling as majority of the games are much of luck.

There is nothing like that for Bitcoin and chess, as far as I know.
Only thing you can do is to play for free and use some extra service or escrow for betting with bitcoin.

I have not heard of any chess playing websites where you can bet crypto. But if you were to ask me, I would probably avoid it. Chess nowadays is a game that has been overhauled by AI and computers in general. If your opponent is using a computer to predict the best moves, even a chess champion of the world does not stand a chance. Going by that, it would be extremely easy to cheat your opponent out of his money. So why risk it?

In fact, unless a game has some sort of element of random chance (probability), then it can be easily taken over by an algorithm that lets you (or your opponent) win every time.

I loved playing chess in my childhood and adolescence, but when I tried to play this game online I realized that I am no different from a novice who can lose in ten minutes. Since then I do not play chess neither online nor in real life. Apparently I was disappointed in my abilities) Also, I'm annoyed by the possibility that my opponent can use a bot.

It's been almost two years since the thread was opened and it didn't get a lot of attention here. The chess boom is still happening. I enjoy playing Blitz chess online and there always people to play against with. Most of my friends also enjoy playing chess from time to time. But none of us play for money, we only play for fun. All the big chess platforms are without betting on it. It seems that there is not so much demand for playing chess for money. The problem for me is that there is a big skill difference in players, it would be very easy for a professional chess player to win all the money. That is why all the chess platforms have Elo rankings in place. It needs to be a fair game for players to actually bet on it.

The game of Chess is part of the very few games I didn't know how to play. I realize that chess is better learnt when younger in school because at least you have all the free time to throw around. I watched few times people that played but it wasn't so much a popular game played around freely, may be it was a reason. However, Chess is highly calculative. You need to read up the opponent next move and try to checkmate it, I think that's mostly the technique of the game.
