Bot attack bounty thread

Yes, recently there have been a lot of projects sabotaged by bots. The majority of bots are often involved in social campaigns and sometimes more than hundreds of accounts are involved in a project. I think that to address this situation, ask KYC for participants for those participating in social campaigns. It will definitely make a huge impact on them. And this is one of the examples destroyed by bots!

In its spreadsheet has 5887 entries. So there are 5887 - 719 = 5168 fake/scam/bot entries.


I want to see what thread poster will do with this problem and where this thread will go. Let's watch it with me  .

I have seen similar occurences many times in the forum and i have to admit that it is very discouraging.

How do i mean discouraging? If you write contents in bounty programs, and you see a project you want to write about; opening spreadsheet and seeing over 3,000 submissions for a blog you are yet to write is usually a turn off.

It takes great believe in such project, if you end up writing the blog for submission.

Do you know the funniest thing about this bots? At the end of the bounty, if you check the spreadsheet, its more reds than green; which means all bots blocked.

The manager needs to do serious work with due diligence to the spreadsheet. I cannot imagine how tasking it would be, separating the real participants from the bots.
I am not surprised that some managers adopt the method of adding participants to spreadsheets by themselves. Although that is another work on its own, it can be better.
Another major thing is that I am still surprised on why some people will choose or prefer to use a bot, when they know it might not work for ten or that it will not work at all. just like this case.

The thread has been attacked by a bot or bits. Bounty manager should delete the entries that are suspicious, proof of participation should be integrated.

this happened not because of the bot in my opinion, but because many people who had airdrop telegram channel gave access to google form without including the source (bitcointalk thread) and this caused many people joined airdrop and spreadsheets filled by airdrop participants from their references. and of course their purpose of doing it without the source was to find referrals and Unfortunately if it's Airdrop just use the form, of course many people make sock puppet for their personal gain.

There are many frauds that steal people's information and fill out bounty forms. Maybe someone else has used my information and I don't know right now. Maybe if I verify, I can see that someone has used my information to make an entry. To stop these activities, the bounty manager needs to be hard. Bounty manager needs add more hard rules. Yes it does require a lot of hard work by the bounty manager. Besides, it is not possible to stop such bad acts.

A bot is still possible in this matter, but aside from that, you have a point that it is possible where people who had telegram channels or groups in social media shared this airdrop to multiple people without having access to this forum.

I do not know this actualy. but why is the bounty manager lost to this? This should not have happened, and surely this would be very detrimental to the participants who really followed the rules

I think everything about the campaign Spreadsheet has been resolved. The new Hackenai bounty spreadsheet is well organised and no sight of bot attack. Probably a new manager is handling the campaign.

It's important for bounty managers to always apply strict rules during application to frustrate bot and fraudsters otherwise, they will have a lot of work to do by sorting out real users and scammers. Sometimes you see a particular campaign spreadsheet, it's filled with spammers which can be reduced at the point of application.

I think there's a high possibility that this is a person who intentionally sabotaged the bonus campaign, this guy intentionally used an automated form filling program to cause trouble for the manager, I have encountered some of these cases.

You are right, he is just trying to trouble the manager because he certainly will not receive anything from this, the managers will certainly see and filter the entire bot out of the spreadsheet, but this will take a lot of time and effort

That is the advantage by using a reliable manager that can see which the real participants and which is not a real participant. As far as i know, if this problem exist even since the bounty was created. Some people may think this is also a major problem but just let the manager did what he can.

I think this is very serious problem and bounty manager should cleanup it as soon as possible.
I don't think it will be a big task to bm because poa was mandatory while joining the campaign and same is required in the Google form while registering for it.
Hope it will be solved soon.

bot will be resolved if BM is thorough in their work, this is where the bounty manager will play a role in filtering out which participants are genuine and which are bots.
HAI bounty is a bounty that I believe will be great, if they don't overcome this kind of thing I might hesitate in the future.

In every bounty campaign, if your gonna check the list of their participants, most of them are exploiter.
Why? because there are many of them will tried to copied the same name of the participants together with the rank of it,
then they will only change the name of the ETH address. And this will not be tolerate only if the bounty manager in charges
check the google spreadsheet very well.

Yea, I have been a victim of this scam. They took all my information and registered it again, but this time they changed to their ETH address to fool the bounty managers. If bounty hunter managers do not check carefully, they will send a reward to the scammer

Yes that's right it’s bot, scammer doing bot attack in Every legit bounty telegram campaign, some scammer attack also in other campaign, i think they not successful in any one of them because bounty manager check very carefully

In case of telegram bounty, the project wants as much IDs in their channel so that the number looks large. They don't just care about what the IDs are and where they come from. Even some project personally hire such services to boost their numbers while they don't care if bots are entering their bounty which undermines the reward of legit users. That's one of the reason why I've stopped joining Telegram bounties.

This happened when the Manager doesnt know how to swcure his google sheet. He should have a lots of verificafion made on signing up google form cause deploying bots is a common activity by hackers and scammers. I know some reputable manager putting up a lot of confirmation such as post count report on thread and some typing to know if the one that register is not a bot. Bounty token is easily diluted with this. So I think managers should not include telegram campaign on the category to avoid this.

Im always seeing some people who are not participated in the campaign made complaints caused by the people are controlling these bots used their name to be registered in he campaign. The manager should be more active to prevent this and i have seen some managers removed a lot of bots.
