[Project] 21 million bits for 21 million bitcoins

It's corona time and I have a lot of free time on my hands so I decided to work on a project. I finished it within month and now it's live. It's called 21 Million Crypto Bits. Basically I'm selling bits. Why 21 million and why bits?  Since the maximum and total amount of bitcoins that can ever exist is 21 million, I decided to sell 21M bits. Bitcoin consist of words "bits" and "coins" and what is bitcoin than sequence of bits.

What you get in return is unique identicon generated from your domain name and link to any site you want. More bits you buy, identicon is bigger.

This thread is to offer 20 people free bits. Before I start with marketing I want to fill the site so it doesn't look empty. Currently I seeded site with random data. You can see the website in my signature and click on "Buy bits" button. Don't worry it won't charge you. Even if you don't jump in "free pool" it still won't charge you until you send money manually.

The biggest problem you will have selling the advertising is how long you will keep the site online for.

Sounds interesting, and it even reminds me of a proyect I saw when I first heard about the LN. It's basically a "canvass", you paint what you want, and pay for the space used. Then, other users could paint over it and etcetera so. I really liked the concept (and I'll look for the link in case anyone is interested).

I have a question tough: you are basically selling marketing space, kind of an announcement board. Once a user pays for a bit, will it last forever, or another user can come later and rebuy that bit?

Once you buy it stays there, nobody can re-buy it. To reply to Vod, I'll keep site as long as I can, depends on number of sold bits. Minimum 5 years, if it takes of, minimum 10 years. I'll add that to FAQ as well

That is why these sites fail.   You promise minimum of five years, but you register the domain for one year.

You won't spend money to renew the domain if you're not actively making money.
