I need of informations about this fpga. A friend of mine told me that they have only one algorithm and have bragged about making others for several months. I don't know whether to trust or not. Can anyone give me some advice? there has been talk of an algorithm for ethereum for months. Some say they are scammers who are constantly changing society.

As of writing these are the bitstreams publicly available for the FK33

X16rV2
SQRL - 25-30 mh/s (No Dev Fee)

CKB
SQRL - 3.5 gh/s (No Dev Fee)

HNS
Ruplik - 1 gh/s (8% Dev Fee)
WhiteFire - 1.2 gh/s (15% Dev Fee)

TRB

AllFather - 2.3gh/s (15% Dev Fee, 5$ per card license fee)

In terms of hosting with Mwdataco, ask to review their contract and terms prior. I wouldn't host with them personally.

Only the two that say SQRL are from SQRL. The rest are from the individual third party devs. The bitstreams can be found on the fpga discord.

Yeah, I'm not sure what's being asked here: about SQRL-the-company, their products (i.e. FK33), or the service that hosts your hardware?  Huh

SQRL is a real company that sells FPGA's you can run yourself or have hosted (I've tried both). Hosting is run by a partner company (mwdataco) and they occasionally update the bitstreams (mining software) that hosted cards can run. Some hosting customers are unhappy about the limited selection of bitstreams: during COVID shutdowns they could only mine HNS. And that coin just became unprofitable to mine... so time for new software.

Hosting profitability (and variety of coins you can mine) haven't been what many people expected when they signed up: but none of it is a scam. Unless crypto values dropping over time and difficulty going up as ASICs join networks is a 'scam' and a surprise to you... in which case you're really in the wrong forum  Wink

So, not a scam: but also not making suitcases-of-cash for customers either... at least as of May 12 2020.

I subscribed to their channel on discord. I'm noticing that several want to sell this hosted device for $ 650. In fact, if it only makes 1 Ghs hns it is not worth taking it and therefore I would orient myself on hashaltcoin. But they told me that HAC makes frequent disconnections, they move often and stay for a week, so I would still be undecided. Apparently some are waiting for the refund because they have not managed to make the stream ethereum but I would like some more precise news.

Sqrl and mwdataco: a bad buisness . I have invested my money in one fk33 hosted. They ask 30,50$ to month and they havn' t algos to mine. From a year they talk of mining eth but is constantly fake. You lose your money and you waste the time.

To be fair Mwdataco is just the host, and the cost was outlined, I originally signed up with Mwdataco and later on had my fk33 shipped out as they aren't the quickest at getting new bitstreams live from third party devs.

As far as an Ethereum bitstream is concerned, it's very real, no reason to call scam, it just isn't ready for public release. There are a handful of users testing the bitstream now but it really isn't ready for public release yet.

is there any sort of timeframe on release. a realistic estimate i mean. havent been to discord in ages, pretty much gave up on any eth bitstream.

It is called a scam for now: 30$ of hosting fees to month without possibility of ship the miner if don' t end one year and revenue of 15$ for month with NIMQ (another tellor) and a promise of mining ethereum from one year (i think they will never mine ethereum)

The hosting fees were fixed from the outset, crypto mining profitability has gone down, so the books no longer balance. Hardly a scam?

oh yes. These are the conditions if you buy an fk33 . Now the market knows this: 1000$ for an fk33 hosted that don' t can mine ethereum (same promised from sqrl) but Nimq ( 50 c$ for day) and 30$ to month of hosting fees?what do we want to call it? a deal!

Small update. After 3 days of mining NIMQ the gain is 4,23$. If the trend remains the same and if, and only if, eth will be added (i hope) this could become so interesting.

New up. After 25 days of mining the revenue is 18,8$ and the hosting fees are 30$ to month. We can call this a big deal? I don' t think so

What about powerdraw?

1 AMD 5700XT van do 50MH/s at around 150W. However that card is much cheaper than a SQRL card and can be sold to gamers when you dont want/use it anymore.

i don' t know about amd 5700 xt but  with my mining rig of 5 rx 480 8gb mining edition and 1 rx 580 8gb i do 27 mhs plus 29 mhs for rx 580 with a total power consuption of 950 w effective. (platinum psu)
With forrest kitten we have 130 w and 50 mhs (for now) effective cause there isn' t ram, cpu, etc. i think they can upgrade to 70-80 mhs, but i don' t know
