As stated by CPDProject admin on Telegram, if remain unsolved, solution will be revealed after January 3, 2021. If swept by someone before this date, solution will be revealed after that.

Update 1: The fund has moved. So, it seems that someone has solved the puzzle. CPDProject admin on Telegram has declared 100 CPD Token reward for the first person to post private key in their Telegram group.

I seen images as puzzle before, his is great, thanks a lot op, won't solve myself anything since i'm incapable but shared it with a group of solvers . The crypto community is bigger than some think , age of rust for example makes crypto games with crypto prizes on the game/puzzle. It also leads to other very cool crypto games and puzzles, just to add it to the puzzle material with prizes in this post.

It is very clear that they are only boosting their followers using this technique and as I can see the balance were transferred just 2 days ago so there is a big chance that they are truly the owner of the balance. And the truth behind their post are as follows base on my deduction.
* Create a false marketing just to gather some followers
* There will be a winner of 1 ETH each but the number of winners are not stated

There is a puzzle before like this but the prize is bitcoin but I am not sure if they got the answers already on that riddle. Now this one, I think this could be a trick like everyone else said. Yeah most likely that there is nothing to be found useful to get the prize. This is a lame plan for marketing. If there is a way to know PK from this they should disclose the process from that image and we can see if this is legit or they just using this for their own benefit.

It's difficult to solve the puzzle as the hidden answer can be looked as a usual image. I wonder how people can find the right answer in that image. The private key has so many combinations, and that can make us give the wrong answer. I hope that someone can be able to get the right answer and get the prizes inside that wallet. its a little bit promotion with puzzle giveaway it may be tricky but if its real its a d*mn cool idea for promotion .
I checked the address and the 100 ETH balance is still there , no one still are the winners who claim it. I just find it difficult to find the any  or number in the images.

The questions is if  its real that they have hidden it there or just using the puzzle to have many users to follow thier twitter account.

All puzzle challenges always hard to be found, but the problem they using a google picture for the challenge. Now, who is guarantee the picture has the private key, no clue at all on the puzzle. At least if they want to make a puzzle challenge, they will make their own image + add 1 clue on the picture if the puzzle still can't be solved a certain time they will reveal more clues about the puzzle.

A puzzle like this or two were going on on steemit few years back, but the image had a huge resolution you had to zoom the shit out of it, this image is in pretty poor quality that and the group of solvers claiming it looks fake was enough for me, the balance... does look fresh but usually if you do such thing you sign a message aswell, how it would be fair to treat OP then?

Solving this image is very hard because they did not give 100 ethereum easily they need people to think very deep about what is the really answer. But Im really sure that  they have person who can solve this and they got the reward. I don't have enough knowledge about this because my thinking is not good with ghe logic or any problems. This can be true but projects like this do really make their promise for puzzles like this with real money, with real Ethereums. Decoders that are good with puzzle-solving can do this but it's not going to be easy because it's a lot of money.

This is really a though puzzle to be honest. No clues in the picture and I don't think it's possible to guess private keys from looking at a picture. Private key contains alphanumeric characters and can't be easily guess, not even the first three characters. It could have been easier if it a pass phrase.
On the other hand, I don't think think the organisers are honest and they know what they are doing. Someone here could have cracked it if this has been done before.
I will follow up to see how it ends.

The base picture is an artwork by another artist. They appears to have edited it to represent their puzzle. But, have you ever heard anyone verifying a puzzle? That is impossible, because whoever knows the solution, may sweep the fund. They imitate the one who launched the btc puzzle but the truth is can you see something that really have a clue on private key on this one? From its look, we can determine if there is something we can found out about this image but for me its only a pure painting. I like something tricky contest but Im very suspicious that this could be just another style of marketing to gain more users. We can assume that this is a fake puzzle, if there is really a private key on this, they should reveal later on whether the clue is there and show us how to find it if someone really got the keys.

Maybe there is a fund but the clue were never put on that piece of art. My guess is this is just a hype, and will really never give to anyone but just a show.

The convertion of the 100 ethereum right now is very huge and I thinl to the person who will gwt the true correct answer about that will get that amount of of ethereum that is very hard and even me I don't know what is the real answer but we have a lot of people here so I guess there is 1 persom who are good in the terms of logic or solving problems.

Puzzle solvers at different platforms are already on it. There will be hints as well. So, puzzle will probably get solved at some point. Otherwise, I'll expect them to release a solution for everyone to see.

Great competition but to me it  seems to solve private-key based on a painting is very difficult for people like me, i wish there are great and research-full  people who will solve it because the offer is given quite a appealing . CPD Project has already stated in their group ( https://t.me/CPDProject ) that hunters need to focus on the whitepaper. So, I assume, picture is the key and answer is in the whitepaper.

In any case, they said there will be multiple hints provided, first being on the halving day, which is less than 3 days away. Hence, for now, I am just sitting in their Telegram group and waiting for hints.

This is really interesting crypto puzzle and its really difficult  to determine the exact password key of this wallet address. I think we need more hint for this since private key of any Ethereum wallet is really hard to guest. We need to guest it for a million times then we can answer the real password.

This is even harder than the one been hosted by Phemex and if no hints to be given I think no user/s will ever solve the puzzle. I think this was just some sort of advertisement on their platform hoping it wouldn't be turn out to be the same by the above exchange which many thinks it's really unsolvable, I'll be a watcher by now until a hint/s are out.

I believe that no one will waste time on your campaign. Budget is too low and waiting too long to receive distribution, there are currently many other better projects running so you need to revise the rules if you want to attract participants.

Many might get surprised, but the truth is, it is perfectly legal to edit a publicly available image and using it to a different purpose, other than it was originally intended.

If anyone of you care to check origin of the puzzle image, you'll find that it is not the high definition one sold by the artist. It is a low definition representative image readily available on Google hosted by various web portals.

Moreover, in conversation with artist, CPD Project claimed that they purchased this final image from another artist, based on relevant keywords. If that is true, then they do not have any moral responsibility either, because, they paid for it themselves.

In any case, if the artist still believes that using this image for puzzle is illegal, she can always move to court. But, to the best of my understanding of this issue, she has a lost case here.

I think there is still a possibility of people who can decode an encrypted code in such a way because I see some people have cracked the code like that so just need to be careful and don't give up trying to be able to penetrate the private key.

I think this is also very difficult to solve but they added new hints for this month and also for June, so maybe every month there will be additional hints and maybe someone can solve it after getting a lot of hints.

There are infinite ways to search a private key hidden in an image...

You could download the image, make a sha256 from the image file and work with those numbers, or you can try to find some hidden words in the image and search brainwallets. As i say, infinite ways. So the odds to solve this are close to 0.000001%.

There are infinite ways to search a private key hidden in an image...

Puzzle creators clarified in their TG group that there is nothing to look for in the image data file. They're asking to focus on the whitepaper and compare with the image to look for keywords. I think, hints given so far are in that line as well.

although they ask to focus on the whitepaper no one will be able to find the private key from the wallet, imagine how one can compose a private key by finding it in a whitepaper that may consist of 5000 words

FACTS:

1) The whitepaper consists of a total of 660 words. If we remove repeated words, we end up with 308 unique words (removed comas and periods).  
2) The roadmap has 29 unique words (data have been changed according to hint #2)
3) The combined set of words gives 320 unique words. If we remove digits (2021, 21, 3 and  7) we get 316 unique words.

I don't think we can get the private key just by imagining the picture, it is the combinations of some words, converted by some method.
If you join the telegram group, you will know some clues because the admin given some clues there.

As have been stated many times in this thread, a new hint will surface the first day of every month. So, if remain unsolved, 3 more hints will be there before they reveal the solution. 100 ETH is now ~34k USD. I don't think this much money can just drop on our lap out of the blue. That's the problem, looks like the puzzle doesn't have a solution, and suddenly someone will come saying he find the solution, but to be honest, the only way that can happen is if OP makes this rigged and gives the solution to a friend. I can see it coming.

Private key is not so easy task to found. If one word is wrong then this is fully wrong. I think no one will discover it.
I think after the period you should transfer your fund to another account and describe the privatekey to us accordingly the image.

Exactly, I noticed the eth has been moved out few days ago, probably immediately after the last hint was given. Its either someone has been following the hints judiciously from inception and breaking the puzzles as they come or something mischievous was executed. They don't seem to have any preset value. Token has not yet hit the market. Distribution is scheduled on January 3, 2021. How would there be a value, if it has not hit the market yet?

there is no goal to spend all this money, so I think someone is running all of this of cheating this is very suspicious.

Exactly, I noticed the eth has been moved out few days ago, probably immediately after the last hint was given. Its either someone has been following the hints judiciously from inception and breaking the puzzles as they come or something mischievous was executed. The puzzle must be very difficult to break no doubt and the winner really did a great job.

The person still not reveal themself, could be someone who really wins the puzzle or just random new things from the team sent to another address and claim that the puzzle prize has been claim.

I was examining this painting since it was posted in (may)But until now I wasn't able to figure it out. It was very hard to find those private keys out of that painting. I'm doubting that it will resolve and unlocked soon thats why to all who are trying to unlock the 100 Eth puzzle. Good

I'm checking this thread a few months later after my last visit and glad to see that someone finally able to crack this hard puzzle and out 100eth which is already increase 7x from then. I can see those all others hints but honestly those are too much hard to solve. I don't want to argue that, team themselves transferred those ether or someone else but im felling happy to got this answer.
