Besides that, someone has a complaint to Youtube about his channel, so Youtube investigate, and perhaps, Youtube found something that really breaks the terms. I think that someone was his competitor who doesn't want to see he got many followers or another thing, so he reports to Youtube that he is breaking the rule. But we don't know what story behind of that because I don't think Youtube will explain to the public their reason to delete his channels.

Think at best I'm neutral about all these crypto punditry and influencers, but I got to say it smells like some people probably coordinated a YT reporting campaign against him.
On one hand, though, you've got educators like Antonoupoulos who's been there for years, and never wiped from any social media platform, so clearly, if you only educate and don't shill, you'll always be safe. Not saying Vays hasn't been educational, but it's clear he's got commercial interests and those generally have a risk of violating parts of ToS.

Youtube quite often deletes videos and even channels due to their algorithms, and I kinda understand them - they host billions of videos, it's impossible to assign real humans to manually review all reports. In the past there was less such incidents, but then people start complaining that Youtube hosts all sorts of bad content, and advertisers reacted to it negatively, so Youtube, which has always been struggling to make profit, made their system that leads to problems like the one that happened here.
It's good that they seem to deal with difficult situations quite well if the channel is popular and people express support. It took less than a day to get this matter resolved, apparently. It took a few days to take down a video posted by people who hacked an account about history, pretended they were Binance and asked people to send money as a part of their promo (typical scam). Neural networks are getting better at a lot of things (deep fake videos and some engines that write texts are very impressive), and perhaps they'll get better at targeting videos as well.

Not probably, definitely. Because there are no other reason for a channel to be deleted but a mass reporting to youtube. On one hand, though, you've got educators like Antonoupoulos who's been there for years, and never wiped from any social media platform, so clearly, if you only educate and don't shill, you'll always be safe. I barely know him or didn't I watched a video of him, I won't recognize his name until I see his face. I agree, if you don't have any terms of youtube violated or did not condemn people for them to report you then you'll be 100% safe, I'm also not accusing Tone Vays of something, I'm trying to be neutral what matter the situation is or how deep it is, but if you have personal or commercial interest to your video content then there is no reason to appeal to youtube.

WTF are you even saying? The whole issue we and Tone had was with this exact statement. He did not break any rules and even if he did there was no explanation as to what rules were broken! He's a TA guy, there's nothing unlawful going on his channel. He's not soliciting anyone and is just like hundreds of other TA people on youtube. If it was an auto ban like people are saying it also sucks because they should always review any claim instead of allowing bots to decide the fate of accounts that people were building for years. I subscribed and quickly unsubscribed.

He's clueless. Used to say that Bitcoin will hit 1000 dollars last year and now he suddenly is bullish and says that we wont even go to 3k again. I wouldn't ban his channel though.

LoL which rule was it exactly he violated? The dude was only showing charts and doing TA. There are hundreds of thousands of people which do the same thing. Fuck Youtube. Too bad there isn't a solid alternative to that shithole.

Chill out, bro. I know he is a TA guy, but we don't know if he has an enemy or not, and his enemy can report him because they don't like about his TA or something like that. I don't know if he breaks any rules or not because if Youtube it breaks the rules, then Youtube can delete or ban his channel, and Tone cannot do anything except he needs to explain to Youtube. I am sure he will complain to Youtube and will explain the situations so that Youtube may reopen his channel again. Or perhaps, Youtube bans for people by randomly because I heard that sometimes, Youtube did that thing before with many people like what they did it with the Adsense which is in under the same management from Google. ~snip~

Because of Youtube have the power to ban people, they will use that, and I don't know what their reason.

I suddenly miss the song about Tone Vays and Mr. Novogratz lol. That's pretty strange that his account got deleted by youtube but I know that he'll recover that soon. Maybe it's a technical error on the side of Youtube if there is no cleansing(clearing of all Bitcoin or Crypto related channels or talks) happening.

I wonder if he had comments disabled as crypto videos are full of scams in the comments.
Maybe it's going off that as well.
I think that's what happened. It's not like youtube moderators can police every crypto channel fact-checking videos and comments against known scams, so they must have a bot that does it for them. And these kind of bots generate more false positives than false negatives. this. specially when these so called analysts end up giving a lot of bad advice to those who follow them and then they end up losing some money in the process, the angry followers end up reporting their videos and since there is always something wrong in their content they get banned or at the very least the video removed.

Is his account does have the 91.3k subscribers? Guys his account is back. He's on the live now with his channel. ( https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=w6IXCrpUmng) The people in the chatbox is congratulating him for getting back his channel. Ok it seems that he is back in business, he seems that Youtube is quick in responding to those ban accounts. Maybe this time, human intervention is needed. They may rely on their algorithm, but at the end of the day, a simple message to them will help those crypto influencers get back their account the soonest. Those tweets and interactions of his fans do help him quickly to get back his channel again. I think that what buwaytress said is more likely. A mass report does really happen on social media if they don't like an influencer or a personality who's somehow popular in his/her niche. The channel may be restored.
The channel was retrieved yesterday.

If you dont know globb0 then you didnt get his prod at humor to the topic. He is referring to the scam youtune channels which probably started this so called purge of tone vays channel in the first place. Where these famous people in crypto or their disciple are used in a scheme asking their viewers and subscribers for 1btc in return of riches later on in a ponzi scheme to the nth degree. It is not strange if Youtube has deleted his Youtube channels because it is clear to read in that image from the OP that his channel violates Youtube terms. His channel didnt violate any of their rules from what I understand it was just the ceo of youtube being jealous of how many subscribers he had and surpassed her own channel. Wonder if twitters jack dorsey gets this sort of envy when they start blocking their users account for these fictitious reasons to justify a ban.

Never watched a single video, but I see his name and face pop up a lot, and when you got that kind of skin in the game, you have to had gotten paid for something you said or promoted -- again, no harm in that, everyone's gotta make money, but I can imagine it makes people angry or could be in violation of ToS. Absolutely and Tone Vays was among the people create new videos everyday on his Youtube page and with bitcoin halving approaching alot of crypto scammers will also make use of Youtube to scam people so this will make Youtube to increase their restriction which i believe was what led to Tony account banned.

90% of youtube videos don't have comments disabled. We cannot be responsible for other people's comments. If that was the reason why his channel got deleted it's still youtube's fault. If they don't like some comments they should ban people who post these, not the creator of the video.

It's just unfortunate that the large centralized companies don't specifically mention what rules were violated. That is not really transparency.
Well, I guess he could try his best to convince youtube, but I don't honestly expect a centralized company to listen to unfairly treated users. I would just try the safe alternatives or maybe the court?
Most crypto channels are banned for spreading false information/scamming people with their TA's that came up from who knows where and what. It contains some truth though, since some channels just scam peoples BTC by asking them for one and then providing them info about the movements of the market. Who knows where they got their TA's. You could say Tone Vays channel was just swept by the wave accidentally. Since he informed YT about his legitimacy, there's no reason why he would stay banned. His channel is already back up tbh, Scroll up someone posted a link about him going live saying he's back.

I don't think anyone at Youtube's organization cares about Bitcoin halving professionally, so there's no connection between it and what happened with Tone Vays' channel. There's really nothing extraordinary about this story, Youtube bans/restricts popular channels all the time, only those channels who are at the top are more likely to get away with actual bannable offenses.

I'm glad he's been deleted. There are far too many scammy, shilly crypto influencers out there and Tone Vays is no different.
Hopefully Autonopolous gets the same treatment. We need trustworthy, reputable figureheads for the industry, not these snake-oil salesmen.
He'll probably get it reversed or create another account though, sucks.

Google continue to censorship crypto
If you haven't read, it was obviously a mistake on Google's side. Tone's channel is back now. Always remember that software mostly handles the red-flagging of accounts, not actual people. I'm glad he's been deleted. There are far too many scammy, shilly crypto influencers out there and Tone Vays is no different.
Wait what? Tone Vays? Shilly? That's literally the opposite of Tone Vays. For the past few years the dude is pretty much a perma-bear.

The case has been resolved with youtube reinstating tone vays channel on their platform. I usually only tune in when they are running live so never was aware he was asking for bitcoin upto 1BTC for his advisory services, which is probably why they were calling it scammy as others on this thread have come to the conclusion was why his channel was all the sudden banned from youtube. I will close this thread now but have come to be aware of another rather popular youtube personality to have their channel temporarily banned on youtubes platform at the same time as tone.
