I've partnered with Bitsler to refund a lot of my old players who lost funds in a hack before we closed.

The new thread is here
https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=5241045.0

However, I have multiple threads on this site through the years, most in the gambling sub forum but not all.

I can't reach everyone by email because the domain goes to spam for a number of people and I was hoping I could post about this in all my old threads so that anyone who has notifications on or who subscribes to those old posts might see it.

But I don't want the new thread deleted or to just have all my posts deleted, again, without any reason given.

I think it is fair giving this circumstance that I should be able to bump these threads no?

I'm thinking unlock and bump one a day and lock immediately after? But I did that already and mods deleted all posts!

Anyone know the best to do this so I can make sure any old players see it who might not get emails?

One bump every 24 hours.

13. Bumps, "updates" are limited to once per 24 hours.

I'd say if you have multiple thread for the same subject or the same game, then you should consolidate them, and definitely not bump more than one of them.

Is that per account or per thread? So I could bump a different thread every other day no problem?

You can bump each thread once a day, but if you have multiple accounts I wouldn't use them to keep bumping the thread more often.  That's just cheating.

Right. But I bumped each thread just once, once in many months, 4 or 5 threads in total and all got deleted.

You need to delete old bumps (make a new post, delete the previous one, copy any valuable contents over) and don't post the same thing across multiple threads. One thread, each it's own separate topic, one bump allowed if 24h+ passed after the previous bump. I don't know what your bumps looked like but if it was the same text - that could have been enough of a reason to delete them as spam.

As someone who created and still maintains the unofficial list of rules, it might surprise you to hear that, well, I don't know. If you wanna err on the side of caution, bump one thread once every 24 hours (doesn't have to be super exact, just make sure that your previous bump post doesn't have the "Today at ..." timestamp). Doesn't have to be the same thread each time but pick only one for your daily bump. If you really wanna test the limits (this isn't a suggestion or endorsement of such behavior BTW), bump all of your threads every 24 hours. Do note that I can't guarantee you won't get banned for doing so.

Searching around for what theymos has said about bumping turns up mixed results. His old posts (from nearly 8 years ago) hint at a slightly different version of the rule (both stricter and more lenient in different regards) than what I've noticed being enforced right now (emphasis added by me):

<...>
Do not bump more than once a day or many times in a row, though.
<...>
No more than once daily. You shouldn't bump a post too many times in a row. Bumping shouldn't be annoying. Delete old "bump" posts so they don't clutter up the topic.
You can bump no more than once per day, and not more than three times in a row.

Mods also may take action if bumping becomes annoying in other cases.
<...>
He's not just bumping -- he's also adjusting the price, which is more meaningful than the typical "bump reply". So that guideline (no more than once per day and a few times in a row) doesn't apply.

Considering how much the forum has grown (as well as factoring in my experience on how it's been enforced for a while now), I really doubt this version is still in effect. That and the 2 newer posts I managed to dig up which seem to (at least vaguely) reference the rule listed in the unofficial list of rules (again, emphasis added by me):

<...>
Posting twice in a row within 24 hours isn't allowed even in selfmod threads because it unfairly bumps the thread.
<...>
<...>
 - Although bumps every 24 hours are allowed by the unofficial rules, should they be allowed?
<...>

Which all brings me to the conclusion that... I still don't know. If you want the definitive answer, I'd suggest PMing theymos about it.

tl;dr Exact rules? I don't know. PM theymos about it

@LoyceV is the one to ask . He's written a number of comprehensive posts recently concerning the expectations (by the forum) users have when they are here.

LoyceV has a multitude of threads he takes turns bumping, hence he would be the one to ask.

(Once per 24 hours is the accepted rate) i.e. now then 24:00:01 from now. Just be mindful some Trolls will gleefully delete previous bumps without warning.

*Edit* if you mark your post as "RESERVED" then Trolls can't delete your post.

*Edit #2* OP should also check out this thread: Bitcoin Forum > Other > Meta > A reply of yours, quoted below, was deleted by a Bitcoin Forum moderator.

I don't think bumping is your problem. You're multiposting the same post in different threads, I'd say that falls under this rule:
12. No duplicate posting in multiple boards
If it's not allowed on different boards, it should for sure not be allowed on the same board either:
http://loyce.club/archive/posts/5419/54192816.html
http://loyce.club/archive/posts/5419/54192820.html
http://loyce.club/archive/posts/5419/54192824.html
http://loyce.club/archive/posts/5419/54192827.html
The solution is simple: don't post the same thing in multiple threads.

I have multiple threads on this site
And there's this: One thread per site ONLY.

Sorry to revive an inactive thread but after PMing theymos, here's his response (with permission to publish it, obviously):

The strong guideline is 1 bump per 24 hours per thread. Additionally, bumps should not be annoying, which needs to be determined subjectively. If a user bumps 10 threads every day, that's annoying. If a user bumps 3 threads at the same time for some good reason, then this may not be annoying.

When it comes to evaluating what is "annoying", it's up to the moderator who's looking into a case to decide.

You must find humble RussiaCoin very annoying to delete 43 of my posts in the Russia Coin [ANN] thread made by myself then.  Yes?

IIRC you violated rules 21 ("Old bumps should be deleted") and 32 ("Posting multiple posts in a row (excluding bumps and reserved posts by the thread starter) is not allowed"), not rule 13 ("Bumps, "updates" are limited to once per 24 hours per thread. Bumping multiple threads at the same time is allowed if it's not annoying") hence the "annoying" part doesn't apply to you.

If you have issues with enforcement of those other rules, start a new thread in Meta. This thread is about discussing what are the exact rules for bumping multiple threads and complaining about vaguely related rules is veering into off-topic territory.

...

I have no doubt that you can put any kind of spin on an argument and would even argue your own post is off topic if it suited your agenda.

I have joined the conversation to enable you to articulate your interpretation on when I can bump my own thread and under what circumstances, so my comment has relevance.  If you want to continue to delete posts without articulating yourself, then we will never know what your attitudes towards each case is.  As you yourself stated, each moderator will interpret a post differently, so clearly your "guidelines" aren't being adhered to by your fellow moderators, hence the continued confusion as to what you desire.

I've already stated why I think your posts were deleted - there's nothing left to "articulate". In addition, the "unnofficial list of rules" are just that - unnofficial. AFAIK theymos doesn't believe in hard rules, hence the potential confusion when the OP tried to establish what the bumping rules are. Either way, the explanation I got from theymos via PM doesn't affect your case, as stated in my previous post.
