The first time I got into the gambling space in cryptocurrency space, it was freebitco.in that I first encountered. There are many other sites that you could play in but it offers the "Free Bitcoin" in the name itself. It's just like an immediate invitation towards what we want, free money. Since it's already established and well-known, it's most likely to be hard to copy and be successful in it.

Anyways, with all that aside. I noticed that the banner at the footer shows a great cause, to help health workers during this COVID-19 crisis. I think this is what matters. They care.

It is difficult to make a gambling site like freebitco.in because we need to have a new idea from the other gambling site. We cannot just copy their code to be applied to our site because that will not work and that would not be the same as the original website. The situation with bitcoin has changed with time though.

Freebitco.in was developed in a time when faucets were worth visiting and they have retained their userbase by not just being a faucet but by adding in more functionality like: the dice game and good amount of referral commission, sharing of earned commission - which I have not seen on any other site, correct me if I am wrong.

They was known to be a good faucet back then and almost all of the faucet that was operating back then was all gone AFAIK.
But now that you have mention it they have been giving out so much since they started they have weekly lottery and an hourly faucet and now they also have so many other option to earn on their site I am also thinking that it might be Satoshi who is backing them up.
Maybe from some of Satoshi's saving that was planned to be a giveaway for everyone but the price keeps on increasing so the prize become smaller everytime.

The longest-running faucet I have known. Freebitcoin had been trusted by many users since they don't have complicated requirements if you are withdrawing your money. It would be difficult for other developers to create something similar to free bitcoin because most people look for something new and unique, they avoid patronizing replicas of other trusted websites.

Also, freebitco.in has come into business after bitcoin reached $1200 or the average prices of bitcoins when they become famous might be around $800 which may look like small (compared to current prices) but definitely not in the times of 2014/2015.

1. They are not showing any clickbait advertiements even they make us to visit them every hour.

3. Other houses started adding options to play even with stablecoins after altcoins but they are sticking with ONLY bitcoins.
4. Afflicate program applicable even with faucet claiming.

I guess the main purpose of this website is (or used to be) the faucet, right? Faucets were popular and made sense back when the price wasn't so high and faucets gave solid amounts of BTC. Those who are interested in such things are already using freebitco.in, and I don't think that a new website could compete with that. And as for gambling options, there are just many websites offering that already, so it's not like freebitco.in is unique in that. Finally, I am pretty sure that there are websites like freebitco.in but they are just very unpopular.

You are right about that. In my early days in crypto, freebitco is one of the first sites that I visited because of the faucet. And I didn't expect that they will live this long here and up until now, they are still offering the hourly faucet. And you can earn daily interest if you have at least 30k sats in your account. i think no . freebit has an active team on this forum so i dont think its own by satoshi nakamoto  . seeing huge number of bitcoins does not mean that its already owned by satoshi nakamoto because there are also bitcoin whales and normal people that can afford to bag a huge bumber of coins . also bitcoins before are cheap so people can buy more and wagger more if they are into gambling but now the number of wager and btc purchase could be lower now . freebit is one of the best faucet but i think not really in terms of gambling . just my opinion

Indeed, those who start at first and able to survive till now have enough fund to use as the value of profits that they've got from this market is really huge. Probably you have answered yourself. By considering the times of freebitco.in was launched and how they are doing till date, I also doubt wetsuit(the owner of freebitco.in) must be an early bitcoin miner and wants to spread awareness on bitcoin adoption. I mean this site does not need to be exactly from Mr. Satoshi but from others also but there could be some similarity between them, getting my point?
