Hi,
Sorry I am new to the Crypto world.
Trying to find out more details on the ERC20 Wallet Address and how Do I get one.
Is the ERC20 Wallet Address the same as the Etherium wallet address which I can get on coinbase.com?

Thanks

For ERC-20 myetherwallet is best ever but be sure that you keeping your private key in secure place and you can not use coinbase because every ERC-20 does not support coinbase. you can here the direction about creating wallet- https://kb.myetherwallet.com/en/getting-started/how-to-create-a-wallet/

Even in the event that an attacker gains more than 50% of the network's computational power, only transactions sent by the attacker could be reversed or double-spent. The network would not be destroyed.

Yes erc20 address and ethereum address are same thing. And what you got form coinbase that also a ethereum wallet address. You can hold ethereum there.
You need to understand one thing. Ethereum is not just a coin name it's also a platform. And most of the coin on the market are based on ethereum platform. Whicheans you can store them in ethereum wallet address. But if you use coinbase ethereum address it doesn't support all those coins. It's very selective. So you can try myetherwallet or any other ethereum wallet and create another addres. Where you own the key of the address.

one thing to add, Coinbase address is an exchange address, so it is basically not your address, you should make your own address, where you hold your private key (and save it and hold it, that is the most important), instead of having exchange address

you can save some coins on exchange if you plan to trade, but for your holdings, it is best to have your own address, where you control the key, as they said - not your key, not your coin

To make the work more easier for you I will like to list few decentralized wallet on here, they are more secured and better
1. Coinomi wallet
2. Trust wallet
3. Myether wallet
4. Monarch wallet
5. Exodus wallet
6. Bitpay wallet
7. Copay wallet
8. Atomic wallet

Good luck
I think Coinomi should be removed from your list, it's having a lot of problems with many members on this forum complaining about it. I think Metamask should be added to this list, which is a good wallet

I was about to point this out, nice one. Many people been complaining about coinomi, that's the more reason why I stopped using it although frankly speaking I've never encountered any issues of coinomi when using it in the past personally. Is there need for so many multi wallets to store ERC20 tokens when TRUSTWALLET right now is the most swift and trustworthy?

Sorry I am new to the Crypto world.
Welcome, and you need to learn first at many sources in this forums before playing with crypto.

Trying to find out more details on the ERC20 Wallet Address and how Do I get one.
There are several kinds of wallets for ERC20 tokens. However, there are only several that are commonly used. They are such as:
- MyEtherWallet
- MetaMask
- Trust Wallet
- Coinbase Wallet
- Ledger Nano S
- Trezor
and still so many types of the wallet address that you can use.
You can find them here https://coinfunda.com/best-erc20-wallets-top-wallet-for-ethereum-tokens/

Trust Wallet should be enough to store digital assets, but maybe some people want to save it somewhere else and use a new wallet to try it, I myself am more focused on just one multi wallet rather than having to use another wallet

ERC20 tokens are stored on Ethereum addresses, sent using Ethereum transactions, and use GAS (tiny fractions of Ether*) to pay for transaction fees. *Ether is the formal name for the Ethereum blockchain's cryptocurrency (commonly called “Ethereum”).
All the Ethereum Support Wallet has its unique ERC 20 WAllet address. You can try Aladdin wallet for your ERC Assets.

Coinomi is the best really. You should try it out OP. it supports all ERC-20 and a lot of "normal" cryptocoins

That's right, it's best to use a wallet that can hold all tokens (like trust). And don't let you use a wallet from an exchange. I think focusing on one wallet is the right thing, because in order to make it easier to manage transactions or in terms of security.

This is the full explanation, Myetherwallet is simple and easy to use for newbies. You can use the address here for all tokens related to the ETH platform without any worries.

Agree, this topic has too many similar answers. So the OP needs to lock this topic to avoid getting the same answers repeated every day.

ERC20 token address is the same format with Ethereum address because ERC20 is the token of ethereum.
You can use your ETH address to receive the ERC20 tokens of course. Any wallet that have Eth address, you should be able to receive any eth tokens as well.
and you should close this thread because the question already answered.

Trust wallet seems to be the best compared to MEW because people no need to manually add tokens on Trust wallet so it will be easier for the beginner to receive tokens. And never try to send tokens to address like coinbase or other online wallets which will results in complete loss of your assets.

i havent use trust wallet though i have use mew before , afaik i the tokens loads directly on mew if they support it but you can also add manually if ever they didnt support it  and yeah coinbase is not a wallet for erc20 but only for eth and other alts if ever they support it   .

trust wallet can be really trusted because i see higher rank users also talk about it but i didnt knew before that trust wallet supports erc20 too  . thats cool now op can choose an option if where he is comfortable with

But you will not have a wallet private key. That is the inconvenience of centralized wallets. It is best to create a wallet in Myetherwallet and you can control everything without having to depend on others.

Addresses created in trust wallet may not have private key but you will have recovery seeds so you can export the whole wallet if you missed the device where your wallet is installed.MEW is not multicrypto wallet so people uses trust wallet have better convenience.
