Seriously, do a search. This has been asked/requested numerous times before. Would it hurt to have one? Of course not, but it's not essential and just keep preev or any other website of choice bookmarked.

Do you only trade bitcoin for bitcoin? Is that how this entire economy works? That's like saying one share in Apple is worth 1 share or 1 dollar is worth 1 dollar. What's the exchange rate like compared to pounds or euros?
A lot of users are focused only in bitcoin price/value in fiat and they forget that in an economy based "only" in bitcoin: 1 bitcoin = 1 bitcoin and change with fiat will be totally useless. So you are not forced to get value in cash if you assume this.
Let's be honest here, most people are interested in the fiat value whether we like it or not. Of course maybe one day the dollar will be pegged to the bitcoin and we'll be asking how much a dollar is in bitcoin, but I doubt it
