Might be a bit of a random question, but I just finished reading Satoshi's original Bitcoin paper and I was wondering what format he used for it. It's not MLA or APA, which exhausts my (admittedly limited) knowledge of essay formats. I like the simplicity of the format he used, so I'd like to know more about it. Can someone let me know what format he used? Is it even an established format, or is it just how he decided to format it himself?

You should ask him.

[when I get a chance I'll read the whitepaper again and see if I can figure something out]

Buy a TREZOR! Premier BTC hardware wallet. If you're reading this, you should probably buy one if you don't already have one. You'll thank me later.

Should've used a typewriter and scanned it to the internet.

Looks like a PDF from LaTeX to me...and that's a document format, not a rubbery substance. http://en.m.wikipedia.org/wiki/LaTeX

Should be trivial to check on a computer. I'm on my phone. http://Http://bitcoin.org/bitcoin.pdf

Really? Hmm...good to know. That sorta throws out more of the true academic mathy types as possible authors.
