I have heard that Serie A seems to be continuing the competition soon and other competitions will also follow.
This is of course good news, but I also dont expect that they will bet with their players if the pandemic cant be minimized. The health of the players and all those involved at the club are important even if they think of income and finish the season.

Don't say that all people over 40 prefer traditional sports. Counterstrike and quake tournaments were a real thing 20 years ago, not to mention starcraft, which was one of the bigest things in esports for the last 25 years or so.  There are 40 year old players among us, don't count them out.

I really hope the pandemic does not mean the end of sports. It's a beautiful type of entertainment and if that ends, it's gonna be pretty disappointing and sad for me. He is somewhat exaggerated in what he said. Gone for years where we only see that sports industry is gone for about 2-4 months only .

I also disagree with what he said that over 40 will prefer traditional and will be difficult to adapt to change. Yes we are seeing that everything is changing so fast but not on this thing. Its true there are players around 40-50! They've been playing that years ago. And I think they begun betting at it again. But I think the majority of gamblers in that age, specially 50's-60's will still prefer traditional gambling. Maybe some tried esports because of today's consequence but I think (my opinion only base on how I experienced it in my neighborhood) majority of them isn't comfortable with today's esports. They may try other online games which isn't that complex to understand or to play.

In my own opinion, there are really some people who don't like to watch the full game when they are betting in sports because nowadays it is very easy for us to rewatch the game and search the final results in the internet to know if we win. If all these championships/leagues/matches will continue to get delayed, I guess the addicted ones will slowly try to expand their gambling coverage and move towards e-sports. They're the closest you can get to the feeling of a real sport betting experience. Otherwise, there's nothing you can do other than bet on matches being played in countries that still haven't been put under lockdown.

There is simply too much money in sports for them to disappear, however there is the possibility that in many instances we are going to see their current season canceled and no champion be crowned because of that, but even that is very unlikely, a more likely scenario is that the season is going to be shortened and the teams will play their matches without any public in the stands but this is only possible for the leagues that are really popular and that get most of their income from their television contracts.

I agree with you but I must admit that during the normal days I used to skip some low level games like esports and table tennis I never bet on but now a days the situation is so dire that I am actually gambling on Russian table tennis and most of them look pretty strange and rigged and then I bet on esports which is nothing but just complete degen bets and can go either ways.

I miss the days when tennis and other matches were going through all the day and I used to be so picky that I never bet on low grade matches so yeah I have been starving for some sports not just for betting but for the sake of the love for the sport I bet on. I hope everyone stays healthy and some sports that require no contact will be resumed soon, like darts have been resumed a bit in recent days.
