Hello,

We are a startup about to launch a service whose purpose is to automatically send one email (with private BTC-related information) at a specific date in the future (within a 2-year timeframe). We are currently using an AWS instance to send that one email.

After initial market survey, our prospective customers mentioned they are afraid that that one email may never be sent if we go out of business.

We want to provide our customers with the insurance that that one email will be sent as planned even if we go out of business. Are there, for example, insurance policies we could subscribe to, or some (insurance) companies that would take over our Amazon instance for 2 years following our going out of business (if that happens)?

The network tries to produce one block per 10 minutes. It does this by automatically adjusting how difficult it is to produce blocks.

1. Why would anyone trust you with private BTC-related information (private-keys, seed, etc...)? What guarantees you have that you are not going to take a peek at this information?

2. Can't you just overpay your services for 2 years?

An insurance company won't take over your AWS instance, it pays an amount as compensation for damages suffered; an amount paid to the company, not the clients (bankruptcy isn't a damage to a company btw). It is not their role to take over the infrastructures to finish the job that the company was not in a position to do.

You might want to consider hiring a notary. He won't send the emails but he can hire a service (company) to complete your request. Similar when an individual prepares the funerals.
Additionally, if you liquidate the start-up a liquidator can act on your behalf.

just a few hints...

Basic AWS is like $3 a month. Just pay for two years up-front.

Thanks. Now how can our customers know *for sure* that we always pay Amazon 2 years up-front?

Send the coin to a trusted escrow who can pre-pay the account and take over billing access on your AWS account.
