0xMonero $0xMR is a mineable privacy focused token on the Ethereum blockchain.

Synopsis:
0xMonero is mineable and compatible with all Ethereum based exchanges, wallets, and Dapps. We are currently developing second layer privacy solutions for 0xMR. We will mint a non-mineable first layer privacy version of 0xMR (zkERC20 standard) for those requiring additional security (this token may not be fully compatible with all exchanges and will not replace 0xMR). A smart contract will enable swaps between 0xMR and the zkERC20 token.

Token Specifications:
- No premine
- No ICO
- No Masternodes
- No Founders Reward
- 18,400,000 token cap
- Difficulty Readjustment every 1024 Blocks
- Block Halving
- 10 Minute Blocktime
- GPU & CPU Mineable
- Deployed on the Ethereum mainnet 4-18-2020

Live Token Information:

Mining Instructions:
See https://0xMonero.com for instructions

Mining Pools:
Solo mining only at this time

Contract:

0xMR vs Monero:
- 0xMR is more secure than Monero because it's built on top of the Ethereum network (which will soon be secured by POS to prevent 51% attacks).
- Monero is block size limited to 4tps while Ethereum is scaling to 160k tps with Ethereum 2.0.
- There are up to 200k Ethereum devs vs 150-180 for Monero, so there is a larger ecosystem of exchanges, contracts, and Dapps.
- 0xMR is easier to use than Monero and requires no CLI or full node. It's currently compatible with all Ethereum wallets.
- Privacy features are being built for 0xMR that utilize zk-Snarks and other technologies that arguably surpass RingCT in privacy.

You quoted text that proves zk-SNARKs is in use and are slandering the project.

p0xMR is 0xMR shielded with zk-SNARKs.

0xMonero is now integrated with Lumi wallet. You can use Lumi wallet over Tor to hide your IP when making Ethereum transactions. You can buy Ethereum in the Lumi wallet without KYC.

I think I will not agree yet with the claim that this is more secure than Monero as you haven't proven yourself yet in the market. Though your features are saying that you should be more secure but you need years to attest such claim. So for me, it is too early to claim your capability over Monero. And remember, Monero has been here for so many years, so if you introduce this to a crypto user, I guess they will still use Monero over yours.

The claim that it is more secure is based on the security of the parent chain "Ethereum" vs Monero. Monero mining is centralized in two pools and has a lower hashrate than Ethereum, which makes it more susceptible to 51% attack. Furthermore, Ethereum is switching to POS, which will make it impervious to 51% attack.

As far as I know, 0xMonero does not actually have any privacy features. 0xMonero's contract is a 99.999% percent code rip of 0xBitcoin's, and 0xBitcoin has no privacy features, so I don't know where any privacy features would be. Perhaps in some other contract, but I haven't seen anything like that specific to 0xMonero.

Here's a diff of the contracts of 0xBitcoin and 0xMonero that shows all the differences: https://i.imgur.com/c5cf0MJ.png

Here's a recent Reddit thread where I asked some very direct questions about various aspects of 0xMonero, but OP was unwilling or unable to provide any substantiation for the things 0xMonero says they are working on:
https://www.reddit.com/r/CryptoMoonShots/comments/hy5taa/0xmonero/

I've also tweeted at them twice so far asking them to set up an official thread where at least one of the ten anonymous developers they supposedly have will answer technical questions:
https://twitter.com/0x_brian/status/1288036936351809536
https://twitter.com/0x_brian/status/1288726886202318848
... but no response yet.

Is anyone able to get 0xMonero to provide clarification and substantiation of their work?

When I was discussing this situation with other people in crypto, the leading theory was that 0xMonero is cheaply mining tokens on a contract they didn't write (the contract is essentially 0xBitcoin's) with mining software they didn't write (the mining software they recommend was most likely written for 0xBitcoin) and selling the tokens based on lying about what is being worked on. To disprove this, it's important to see some indication that useful work is actually taking place, and so far I can't verify that.

Please let me know what you think.

Asking questions isn't harassment.

You know that when you lie, people are going to be able to check the evidence I'm providing and find out you're lying, right?
