APRIL 30, 2020 - PAIR LEALANA 1/2 OZ SILVER 10 LTC COINS AUCTION

***Carefully read this auction post in its entirety before bidding***

This auction ends Sunday May 3, 2020 at 3:00pm Mountain Daylight Time (UTC -6).

BIDDING AND PAYMENT

Minimum bid will start at 0.01 BTC. Bidding will be done in 0.0025 BTC increments. Bitcoin is the ONLY accepted form of payment for this auction (yes, even though these are LTC physical coins). Please bid in the following format:

CORRECT FORMAT: "I bid 0.0125 BTC"

INCORRECT FORMAT: "I bid 0.012345678 BTC"

Should bids come in within 5 minutes of the end of the auction, the auction will be extended by 1 minute increments between additional bids. This will be measured by the minute, not by the second. For example, if a bid comes in at 2:57 MDT (within 5 minutes of auction end), the auction will be extended by one minute to 3:01:00 MDT. If another bid comes in at 3:00:59, the auction will be extended to 3:02:00. If the next bid comes in at 3:01:01, the auction will be extended to 3:03:00. Official bid time records will be determined by the timestamp posted on your bid reply. Upon the auction end, I will announce the winner and declare the end of the auction.

THE COINS

This auction is for a pair of Lealana 1/2 oz silver 10 LTC coins in original case. These are from the first batch of 1000 coins, when Smoothie limited us to only one pair per customer.  These ones have the "error" of the missing depression on the reverse which results in a small hump on the back of the coin (see pics for details).  These coins will be sold as a pair, as originally sold to me, in original packing, with original certificatess of authenticity.

ESCROW and SHIPPING

I have been in contact with both OgNasty and minerjones, and both have offered to provide escrow services for this auction for a 1% fee/gift. This 1% of the auction total will be split between myself and the winning bidder. This means that if you are the winning bidder, you will need to budget an additional 0.5% of the winning total for your share of the escrow. If you are the winner of the auction, please let me know your preferred escrow agent. If you would prefer a different escrow provider, please PM me before you bid so we can work out a mutually agreed upon third option. Other escrow providers can be found here: https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=2439910.0

Shipping in the USA will be $30. This shipping cost will be added to the total of the winning bid after the auction ends. Shipping will be via USPS registered mail (which requires a signature upon delivery).

Shipping outside the USA will be managed by minerjones, who has offered to facilitate international shipping for this auction. The winning bidder can choose from USPS, Global Post, UPS, and Fedex. If you are the winning bidder and are outside the US, after the auction ends I will be in touch along with minerjones to coordinate shipping and cost. This cost will then be added to the total of the winning bid. I will ship the coin(s) to minerjones via USPS registered mail, after which he will send to you. Please be aware this method of shipping will take longer than conventional post, because of all these additional safeguards we are utilizing to ensure a successful delivery of your coin(s).

After working out shipping, upon successful payment to the escrow agent, your coin(s) will be shipped within 24 hours or as soon as reasonably possible.

Please do not send payment to any wallet address until shipping and escrow have been determined. Payment will be sent to the escrow agent's wallet; please refer to your selected escrow agent's escrow thread for their payment address.

Escrow arrangement, shipping arrangement, and payment are all due within 72 hours from the time the auction ends. Should the winner not honor their bid and not provide payment in that 72 period, the next highest bidder will be requested to honor their bid.

AUCTION WINNER INFORMATION:

If you win, please PM me immediately with all of the following information:

FIRST AND LAST NAME
STREET ADDRESS & BUILDING/SUITE #
CITY
STATE
COUNTRY
POSTAL CODE
PHONE NUMBER
EMAIL ADDRESS

~FINAL NOTE~

Please be aware, if you partake in this or any of my other auctions, please expect that you will receive fake PMs from impostors pretending to be me or anyone else involved in the auction, likely to try and get you to send coins to other addresses. Please be dilligent and make sure you take all reasonable precautions to not get fooled by the inevitable scammers who will try and scam you, and me, and everyone else they can.

I believe increments were to be in .0025 so when

0.023BTC

he went up by .003 - his should have been .0225 right?

If so, every bid after that is also wrong?

as the next one was

I bid 0.0255 (=0.023 + 0.0025, hope my algebra is good  Tongue)

should have been .025 right?

then the next

0.03BTC

would have been .0275

and lastly

I bid 0.035 btc

would have been .03

is this right? or are we allowed to go up by more than .0025 just not less than .0025?

Stryfe posing a good question.  I was looking at it as minimum bid increments but in reading the text is sounds like .0025 is the only acceptable bid increment.

ok thanks. I know that sometimes taking things literally is not always correct but that is how I took it here. if we go by increments though that first one is the one that threw everyone off. but at least yours is at an incremental point where it would have ended up eventually - so do we just go off that and do the bids correctly going forward?

Seems silly to only be able to bid by 0.0025 increments.

Putting my bid in @ .1 BTC

it might be silly but that is what the auction creator put - but we are asking for clarification - though your bid, if valid, pretty much takes it close to the value of the ltc on the coins

Sorry for the confusion - the intent is that the minimum “bidding unit” is 0.0025 BTC, but you can make bids in any multiple of those units as you wish. So, bids can be made in increments of 0.0025, 0.005, 0.01, 0.05, 0.1, etc. I hope that clarifies it sufficiently, but please let me know if not.

That being said, the current high bid as of this post is 0.105 by Stryfe.

thanks for clarifying so the bidders that went outside of the .025 incremental were the fifth bid who did the .023 bid by increasing by .003 and the seventh bid who did the .03 bid by increasing by bid by .0045

either way we are back on track and on .025 increments again Smiley
