I have been running a Bitcoin core node on an old macbook, storing the 300+gb on an old harddrive I had.
When I plug in the Bitcoin HDD to another Mac and try to run Bitcoin Core, it doesn't recognise that the entire blockchain is already on the HDD, and asks me for a storage location.
I no longer have the bitcoin file in the application support folder on the macbook, it got lost. Is there any way of taking advantage of what I already have downloaded? And accessing the wallet I have there?

I'd suggest backing up the root of the directory (without subfolders) where your old version of core was used ONTO A SEPARATE DEVICE.

Then just put in the location of your data directory into the bitcoin wizard and everything should return... But it may want to resync.
