I believe AVAX has a great potential to be top 10 CMC token in the long term.Listing on Binance and price action on the opening day was also a good indicator of that theory. I will personally hodl and wait, AVAX will surely be a disruptor in the market.
Instead of me writing too much I saw a great summary from one Twitter user about AVAX so I will share it here with you and would love to hear your thoughts.

Dan McBor ∀Reasons why I'm bullish on AVAX (Avalanche)
1/ Vitalik thinks it's legit.
https://t.co/dFWzjzcRBU2/ $ETH Genesis account invested ~9k ETH. Strong ETH hodler.
https://t.co/KVHIcHQ0r5 3/ Charles Hoskinson thinks it's very interesting tech.
“I think Avalanche has some merit as well, especially in the IoT [Internet of Things] space in Ava is going to be an interesting coin that comes out. And there's a lot of interesting ideas there.”
https://t.co/W8zzOtBUYz 4/ a16z, Bitmain, Metastable, Naval, Balaji (former coinbase CTO) invested.
https://t.co/5w1c4Yotwa5/ The tech is here. Mainnet on Monday so you can actually test it with your own PC/VPS. 16m tokens circulating on day 1
6/ Oh, and it is fast (finality of 1- 2 seconds), decentralised as fuck (anyone can be a validator with little computing power) and secure (can only succumb to 80% attack).
7/ Their consensus is so good that XRP has built Flare Networks with it and BCH is experimenting with it to implement.

https://youtu.be/2RYerlHyb7E8/ Both seed and private investors have well vested lockups of 18 months. Testnet validators (1000 of them) don't get rewards for 1 year and must validate to earn those rewards.
https://info.avax.network/#unlocking_schedule9/ Clear incentive for everyone to not dump - investors, delegators and testnet validators since there is staking rewards for the next 10 years. All fees are burned too.
10/ Super team. Ted invented HotStuff which is what Facebook Libra uses, yet he decided to join Avalanche. I don't need to introduce Emin Gun Sirer.

https://twitter.com/BrendanEich/status/130638466840983142412/ It provides what Ethereum 2.0 can't provide: Ability to create additional subnets/blockchains which can be tailored to specific jurisdictions or requirements. Such as having only US validators, setting specific fee as validator or KYCd validator for that special subnet.
One other thing, it has a very modular design. So you can build on solidity, Go, Rust or whatever the dev want to build the chain on. It also supports Ethereum virtual machine from day 1. It works byte for byte meaning the likes of metamask, remix and other cool Ethereum tools will work with no need to change code. I can only imagine Ethereum developers will give this a try since it's so easy and fees are crazy right now.
Avalanche team will airdrop Athereum (Avalanche EVM) tokens to all Eth holders too. With uniswap on everyone's minds, this will grab some attention.
