Son dos artículos muy didacticos a mi entender, el primero The Annals of Bitcoin Twitter va de como Bitcoin es popularizado y debatido en la red social desde el inicio de Twitter, el segundo The Memes Make the Bitcoin ilustrativo en su totalidad Jameson Lopp comenta el significado y la importancia de los Memes en el entorno Bitcoin, los enlaces están en ingles, pero con la cantidad de contenido gráfico y utilizando el traductor no hay problema.

Es interesante y muchas gracias por compartir, muchas personas aprovechan las redes sociales para publicitar todo lo relacionado con Bitcoin y demás criptomonedas, ahora hoy dia en Twitter hay muchas publicaciones con memes de Bitcoin y si, llama la atención, es importante porque de alguna manera aquellos que no tienen todavía una cultura sobre Bitcoin al ver los memes les queda en su mente muchas veces y hace que comiencen a buscar, investigar sobre Bitcoin, de hecho muchas campañas son a través de redes sociales, sobre todo las Altcoins, ya que el tráfico que genera les produce que quieran comprar.

Al observar los memes de bitcoin resulta fundamental para la memoria, es por ello que son una estrategia que enlaza sentido del humor y oportunidad con el conocimiento previo, en donde a diario vemos diferentes tipos de creaciones de memes de bitcoin.

Desde que empezaron con los memes han habido y seguirán muchas variantes distintas, con mensajes igual de sugerentes o mejores, la gran mayoría no saben (me incluyo) el porque del meme en cuestión ni cual es su origen y con los comentarios que hace J.Lopp en cada uno de ellos averiguamos el motivo de cada uno.

Leyendo el primer hilo, hay un Tweet bajo el caption de "Don't you wish you had picked up some of those free bitcoins from Gavin Andresen's faucet?", que me ha recordado a algo que ya comenté hace algún tiempo, y que me hizo gracia por aquello del aspecto "tocante" :

I just shut down freebitcoins.appspot.com; it looks like somebody in Spain is being a jerk and getting a new IP address, bitcoin address, and solving the captcha.  Over and over and over again:

Now that 5 bitcoins is worth a fair bit, I'm thinking I need more cheating countermeasures.  I can think of four things to try:

1. Rate limit based on the first byte of the IP address (79. or 81. in this case).
2. Rate limit based on the USER-AGENT string ("Opera/9.8..." in this case).
3. Rate limit based on last two domains of reverse DNS lookup of the IP address (rima-tde.net in this case).
4. Make the standard amount given away 0.5 Bitcoins (Bitcoins have gone up 10 times in value since I started the Faucet).

If you get rate limited, you'll get a message that asks you to try again tomorrow.

BitcoinFX: thanks again for the donation to the faucet; I'm going to drain the Faucet below 500 coins temporarily, and will refill it with your donation after the new cheating countermeasures are in place.
