AFAIK. There's no more bitcoin airdrops these times. If you see one, check the resource if it's legit. Unless that's a giveaway from a legit source like an exchange or casino giving small amount of bitcoin to test them or if it's coming from a faucet.

Most of the airdrops now are those tokens that does have an undetermined value and price.

Airdrops are real. In cryptocurrency, airdrops are used as a marketing strategy to promote their project and to create a hype in the market. It is also their way to distribute their tokens for the investors who are at the first place supports their project as well as to make the market more decentralized. However most of the airdrop coming from shitty ICOs' are more likely to scam.

I've been in this industry for a long time now and I can say that most of the airdrop I joined are just a waste of time. I have tons of useless token in my wallet and none of them can be excanged for bitcoin LOL!. Additionally, beware of signing up in different website or google docs that require KYC because it may increase the odds of getting your privacy exposed on the internet.

If I were you. I will spent my time reading and exploring the forum rather than wasting your time filling those forms.

Before participate in airdrop, you should stay away from these scheme :

1. Provide KYC and personal information
2. Ask to deposit first for requirement of airdrop
3. Ask to provide your private key to join the airdrop
4. Check and verify the url first, to prevent from phishing sites.

If the sites is not have 1 of above my list, the airdrop is safe to join and probably legit. But as far I know I never saw any bitcoin airdrop till now, only faucets (earn some satoshi by completing small task). I only saw crypto airdrop.

~

Agree with all of this.
I would also add, if you see for example an airdrop that is "worth $5", what that generally means is that they are basing this on ICO price... but almost all coins drop in price hugely once they become tradeable. I'd be very surprised if an airdrop that is "worth $5" can ever actually be sold for anything close to $5.

As many have already iterated, airdrops these days are not profitable much as buying satoshi from the exchange or earning through faucets. With my little knowledge I got from this industry, most of these airdrops are scam projects attempted to collect users identity which is the most dangerous issues around the industry. The last airdrop I participated was the recent CCC(cryptocurrency council) they actually wanted the participants to make some deposit for activation which lead to many Calling them scam project. In airdrop, you must be wise.

I browse the Internet to make sure of what I've known but I found nothing (maybe because I dig a little). Thus I'm skeptical if BTC really got an airdrop back on its beginning days. But one thing is for sure, if you saw that there's a btc airdrop in the present tumes then better for you to avoid it. It sounds good but most probably it was a scam because it's illogical to think of some company out there willing to give a valuable asset for free Roll Eyes.

+1, Just be careful giving some of the sensitive personal information. If I were you I will not gonna give KYC for a small amount of airdrop since it might be a scam and your information could be used for illegal things.

Base on my experience airdrop are real and some of them gives me over a 20 dollars which I used to start on my capital for investment from the previous year one of the biggest airdrop I received is came from the Yobit exchange and after that I did not met any good airdops. Some of the airdrops I saw is the ripple, eth and not a popular coins which has a value on the specific platform but I avoid this kind of airdrops because some of them are scams. How can I found this? Most of the airdops require some referral system which it is too hard to make because they want to encourage more people to join into their platform and wait their rewards up to couple of weeks and then they will not give any rewards but still they got a lot of users register to their project. Some of these is you can see in the telegram which most of the people use for communicating others but always take care because there are a lot of scamming bots, and users there just a friendly reminder.

Before participate in airdrop, you should stay away from these scheme :

1. Provide KYC and personal information
2. Ask to deposit first for requirement of airdrop
3. Ask to provide your private key to join the airdrop
4. Check and verify the url first, to prevent from phishing sites.

Also one thing avoid this kind of airdops because we called this airdrop does not require your information it is a free giveaway coin does not need KYC

Thats a marketing strategy but everybody knows that the $5 airdrop ia actually worth nothing.  If the payments are in tokens of their project then this is just a waste of time. I can accept if those airdrop will be pay on btc oe even usdt at least thats a realistic giveaway. But did not everyone noticed, that most airdrop are in altcoins, Ive never seen an airdrop from bitcoin or at least some giving off btc as airdrop for whatever purpose.

Also if those airdrop projects are asking KYC for you to receive? Wtf your information versus a not sure money is like giving off the crocodile his food.

I joined some airdrops projects but every time received worthless tokens so finally I gave up.
I heard that some people could earn real money from it but it's not rule,  and most people never earn any proft here.
I don't believe that btc airdrops are different and more sucesful.

Bitcoin airdrops are not a thing now. It was in the early days when Bitcoin faucets gave as much as 1 Bitcoin at a time. These days faucets give very little amount of Satoshi which aren't much even after a long period of time .
Some telegram bots which also claim to be Bitcoin airdrops are scams

Most of the users replying here are talking about ICO airdrops. But OP is not asking about those. He asked about Bitcoin airdrops.
I would be interested to see where he found a Bitcoin airdrop in 2020!? There is no reason for Bitcoin to have airdrops and they don't. Some private users or a company might hold one but I don't see why they would. I am quite sure that whatever Bitcoin airdrop you found is not real.

As long as I joined this forum I never found Airdrop Bitcoin, as far as I have experienced airdrop was only distributed using Altcoin.
and you need to know, if you want to follow the airdrop make sure of projects that have long-term potential so that your efforts are not in vain because sometimes airdrops from shitcoin are more than airdrops that have a good price in exchange.

Airdrop bitcoin? There is no like that on here (and in everywhere you can't find it either). Airdrop (which has been told on people above) is ussually used for promotion new coin/token only, it won't be bitcoin airdrop since bitcoin has been known as popular token already.

My note for you, don't join in any of airdrops, it only waste your time

Bitcoin does not have airdrop it ended long ago Now the airdrops are there with tokens But most of these are scams Bitcoin Airdrop is a new strategy to scam them No one will ever give Bitcoin for free It can never be real. That is why we have to be careful and select the verification and then work Airdrops do not have personal information for KYC That's why it's better to stay away from airdrops These are not legally effective.

it depends on how you define "airdrop", as you can see some users are already giving the wrong (new) definition.

an airdrop in its real meaning, is a free giveaway without any strings attached. you just ask and receive and there is no additional steps or requirements. for example an airdrop in many years ago was a topic in altcoin announcement board where you just had to say hello to receive the coins.

nowadays they have changed the meaning into "work and receive payment in our shitcoin". this is not airdrop anymore but it is still used by shitcoins and specially ICO scams because the goal of such new "airdrops" is to scam the maximum number of people so they have to force those who are already in to fool others and bring them in too.

Depends on what they are taking from you if they ask about sending some funds before you can get the coin/token then that should be tag as scam since no legit platforms will ask that when they do a airdrop campaign and you need to be more careful.

There are so many scammers using that so better stay away with airdrops and work with legit once.
