I use to visit coinmarketcap site a lot a while back but haven't for a while.  I see they always have a top one hundred coin list and it show how much it was up the last day or week etc.  Now back then when you click on a coin, you could see all the exchanges where you could buy the coin from such as what site it trades at.  But now... where is this exactly?  I see market pairs by adjusted volume and reported volume.  So which should one look at?  Also what is liquidity as oppose to volume?  Im confused why some coins have millions of daily volume traded but liquidity is in the hundreds?

I always look to the "by liquidity".

As we know, there's a lot of fake volumes on coinmarketcap that's why for me, that's a very metric and more accurate data than the latter. By looking at the liquidity, you'll see the known exchanges at the top.

Unlike the other two.

I see a certain coin trade volume is over ten million for day but liquidity shows under few hundred dollars... so which is correct then? Because coinmarketcap top coins do show heavy volume got traded though>

What coin is that? let me see that and take a look with that. As I have told you, there are coins that's faking their volume and it's hard to know which is the legit especially if it's an uncommon coin.

Is that the coin that you are interested of buying or investing?

Im not going to buy it.  Havent bought any coins in a while.  But i notice the price kept going up and up.

Again, i havent visited coinmarketcap in a while so i was surprised the layout looks much different now.  Because back then, there was just pairing coin with another coin, now there is adjusted and reported volume... then i see liquidity and confused why its in the millions in volume but hundreds in liquidity.

You have to click on "market" to see the list of exchange. It has been a while they have changed this. Make sure you are using the most liquidity exchange because CMC has listed a lot of shit exchanges.

I thought that you are looking to the 'by liquidity' of exchanges. As per the liquidity of each token, this article by CMC can explain more of it.

OKay but all trades are mostly on bibox then right?  I saw binance dex but very little traded there.

So this coin has millions traded daily then right?  Now anyone know anything about exchanges like bibox though?

You can drop Coinmarketcap and use another aggregator that has a much simpler interface and features like Coingecko https://www.coingecko.com/en/ Click on the coin or token and then "markets". There is no such thing as reported, adjusted, or liquidity volume that confuses users. Some users claim that they have a more reputable method of reporting volumes and ranking crypto exchanges compared to Coinmarketcap.
