He paid for $4 million to have lunch with Warren Buffett. Why is he asking $2 million from American tax payers? He is also hyping it to the Chinese people?

The grant was for salary protection, which is available to US companies suffering from the effects of the coronavirus crisis, and the money does not need to be repaid, according to the post, published Tuesday.

It was shared and translated by Matthew Graham, chief executive of Beijing-based blockchain investment firm Sino Global Capital.

Graham speculated that, in China, many people would have misinterpreted the award of the grant as an implicit endorsement of Tron from the US government. By some, it would even be interpreted as a savvy move.

He paid for $4 million to have lunch with Warren Buffett. Why is he asking $2 million from American tax payers? He is also hyping it to the Chinese people?
The more interesting question is how the hell did his application granted? I think it was not dispose on the whole article how and why, also It is not needed to be repaid? This something fishy, I know there's a crisis and donation is really help a lot of people that had been affected. Why it sounded like a favor will be done on the future with this deal.

$2 million is a huge fund and knowing Justin Sun, there is a controversial reason out of this news and Im sure of that. I heard a lot of tron's name every where on the social media platforms. He is really the king of hype and controversial issues.

What is your opinion OP about this news?

@cryptoaddictchie. I reckon you do not read much of the news? Justin's $2 million forgivable loan came from Trump's paycheck protection program to help small businesses pay the salaries their employees.

My opinion is it is his right to apply for the loan. However, boasting to the Chinese people on Wechat and make it appear that this is an approval of Tron from the American government is a scam.

The Tron Foundation has declined to comment on a report circulating in Chinese media that it has received stimulus funding from the U.S. government.

Given the non-denial from Tron, it's possible that the U.S. business entity that maintains the Tron office in San Francisco could have successfully applied for coronavirus relief. Tron also owns BitTorrent, another U.S.-based company, as well as Steemit, Inc., the latter of which is based in New York.

They should not accept that and they should not apply in the first place, they should have turned to their main office for help, Tron has huge spending in publicity in the past, and this is bad publicity for them, they should show that their company can keep up and can support their affiliates at this pandemic time.

This is crazy, he paid $4M to have lunch with the godfather of smart investing and today he is asking for grand, few days ago, he launched another IEO project on Poloniex and has open trading yesterday. This is not funny.

he should issue a clarificatory or official statement why they received funding coming from the US considering they are making a profit from their coin and other affiliates,  suspicion will arise if he just ignored this, they should take care of their affiliates and not rely on outside funding.
