The UFC used to do fantasy sports contests where they awarded winners fight gloves and other prizes from their merchandise store. I wonder if we'll see a revamp of that system with crypto awards replacing the physical merchandise they used to offer as prizes.

Their platform also supports its own mobile smartphone app which could be used for promotional and social media promotion purposes. The technology seems to have a lot of potential if its utilized and developed properly. As a long time MMA fan I'm excited about this.

Thank you for this news. But IMHO it isn't as exciting as it seems to be. If Chiliz/Socios is turning to this new sport it's unfortunately because it has failed to success in soccer while it partnered with the biggest teams of the world. So I'm a little bit wary for fans.

Looks like they are also going to be giving out tickets to UFC's upcoming Fight Island show to token holders.

Just read the article and it doesn't explain what needs to be done to grab the tickets though, maybe the info hasn't been released yet.

Either way, I'm sure this partnership will achieve very little, like most sports x blockchain ventures.

Usually, they are partnering up with the big sports such as soccer/football and baseball, but with UFC it seems like a fairly new and fresh partnership that has never been done before. One thing I'm wary about Chillz and UFC partnership is whether they can deliver to the fans' expectations or not. Merchandise is one thing, but cool VIP treatment to the big spender seems to not have been outlined yet. Perks should also be worthwhile for the token holders as well in order to kickstart this partnership with a bang.

It looks amazing but what is that they are doing with the partnership, for more exposure and fan tokens  . This is the first time i am hearing about Chiliz (CHZ), the token they will be using as fan tokens and it would be great if they would have used bitcoin instead. Not sure what benefit we will have in the bitcoin market as every company is attaching blockchain to conduct business now a days.

It was supposedly the biggest thing with UFC and crypto. However, we really don't know what really happened.  LTC as touted as the “Official Cryptocurrency Sponsor”. But it seems that the hype has died down already. Of course, this is a win-win situation, but we how long this partnership will last is anybody's guess.

Maybe this is like one of their small deals that a business portion of the club does and the entire other club knows nothing about. Watford at least has Bitcoin logo on the shirt. Never saw a crypto sign on West Ham shirts.

As you can see on the link above, the token was already listed on coinmarketcap, and West Ham made several announcements last year, even via Reuters, but I don't know if the token has ever been publicly released by socios/chiliz. Now it seems to have been quietly removed
