Like the title says, I wanna know if it's possible on the following modern laptop - here is a link:

https://www.evetech.co.za/hp-15-amd-ryzen-7-laptop-7zs08ea-with-2tb-ssd-and-64gb-ram/laptops-for-sale/15127.aspx

The same webpage also sells cooling (not trying to advertise a webstore - I'm sying I can get the needed cooling gadget at the same place - no need
for any other links)

thanks for the help/feedback

According to NIST and ECRYPT II, the cryptographic algorithms used in Bitcoin are expected to be strong until at least 2030. (After that, it will not be too difficult to transition to different algorithms.)

You can't even you are using the modern laptop and that will be only burning your laptop.Your effort will be worthless and it's better to talk it or move this thread to the altcoin mining section.
it's better to buy a 2 hand GPU rather than try to use your laptop to mine altcoin/

If your inquiry is about to mine altcoin you should move your thread on this section Altcoin Mining perhaps you can read something related on your question there.

But if its about bitcoin then obviously should be here: Mining

But both of these section difference is of the other is not about BTC but concept about mining is all there.

For me its not advisable, laptop designed is extremely not appropriate for mining as it causes your laptop damage easily due to the energy consumption which your laptop couldnt take.

You can mine with your laptop but do you think a laptop like that is ideal for mining? That's why if your main agenda is to mine then you have to get the right equipment because if you don't, you're just throwing your money. Laptops do have a low life-span so if you will start using it to mine, it will get into its full potential that can lessen it's lifespan.

short answer would be that you could mine something, but there is a question would that be economically viable for you, so you have to choose what to mine, and than ask question on relevant topic

There are some cryptonight algorithm and mimblewemble coins like MWC and Grin as well some Aragon2d coins like NIM that may be worth mining with you spare power. Yet, I would no consider it a good use of laptop considering it's price and risk you are putting at it. If you want to try some mining, assemble a simple desktop with a couple of GPU.

I wanna know if it's possible on the following modern laptop

The strong processors also use to generate a lot of heat. Laptops are usually designed to allow a bit of cool down now and then - by stopping them now and then and/or by not leaving them hours after hours on 100% processor use. With GPU it's even worse.

Since mining is usually high CPU/GPU use and 24/7 run, you may end up by breaking the laptop early if you are lucky or burn down the house if you're not.

So if you want that badly to mine, I'd advice you do that only while you use the laptop for something else (like surfing the net or this forum) and use mining software that doesn't use the whole processing power (like the Stak miner for Monero). But you'll see that such mining will get you pennies over long periods of time and may not worth it.

I'm afraid that would not be worth it.

There are several altcoins which you could mine right now even with your phone. But if we are talking about the mining which is closer to Bitcoin's required hashing power because of the increasing competition, I don't think a laptop is enough. You are just having your laptop commit suicide.

I have heard of Pi actually. They also have their own mining and nodes and all. Your laptop could handle that one and similar altcoins.

Yes you can mine on a laptop but not for 24hours run because if heat they generates, can't be compared with desktops and Gpus, my advice is to get desktop motherboard and cheap CPU and GPU to mine, your laptop will then live a long life

Whatever the case may be do not use your laptop to mine, mining coin uses all available CPU power which creates or builds heavy heat that can kill your CPU or other components in your laptop, do not try it, I repeat, do not try it

Yes you can, but it will quickly cause your laptop to fail. So it's best to use the latop for other purposes to make money. There are many ways to make money instead of mining

Laptops aren't build to handle the heat from mining, it will short it's lifespan, it's better you build a separate mining rigs or buy an asic miner, do not use laptop to mine the laptop will die fast

^ Definitely right, obviously it is not recommended using the laptop for mining or everything will go into waste. If you think that you may still be able to mine coins such as Aragon2d, MWC, and Grin using your laptop for it probably not be enough to compensate your expenses if your laptop got burned. I suggest that if you are really eager to mine, you probably use as well a desktop with a couple of GPUs so you can maximize it in mining. Nevertheless, it will not long last, it is better to purchase and have your own mining rigs because it is durable and proven that can mine and use for how many years in the mining business.

Why is talking about mining Bitcoin not economically feasible? whether the cost is very large or the way that is very difficult to do, and I want to know the reason why Bitcoin is still better than Altcoin like Aragon.

Even if you have a MSI Gaming Laptop with the latest RTX GPU my advice is laptops aren't build to withstand mining heats, all hell will surely broke loose on your laptop hardware, it's better to listen to advice on here before making the biggest mistake of your life

Sure, you can mine with that laptop, but it will not work, your lap top will be broken because it must work continuously at 100% capacity, it is not designed for mining.

The answer is NO, you will end the laptop life in few weeks of continues mining, you need to build your own mining rigs or buy off eBay or Amazon, GPU cards are cheap this days but the fact about mining is they aren't profitable anymore
