That's true we must try to consider the possibility for the big dump to happen anytime consider bitcoin and altcoin have already traded at the peak level. it's too risky. Im also still waiting for the bitcoin and altcoin to do down before try to decide to buy again.

Did  I miss something with the market coz until now, until the halving is done I don't see altcoins surging high but instead, it drops again as Bitcoin drop in the time of halving end? This is purely a speculative say and even we saw a huge growth of Bitcoin but can't just think that altcoins will do-follow. And what I capture with the market this time, we are still in the bearish season.

A good piece of advice, we missed the good opportunity to buy bitcoins 1-2 weeks ago. So now we need to wait for the price to adjust, if we buy now it would be too dangerous because the price has gone up too high compared to a few weeks ago.

I'm also waiting for that moment whether the price is really going to dump down to 7k. Many of the users had already suggested the rise could be dumped but if it doesn't happen we could get burned. I end up holding USDT today, I was thinking if it doesn't dip that low I would have to cash out my USDT instead than chasing the trade.

why can you judge the current situation down? I guess the situation after halving will indeed be better like this. increase gradually. this will happen in the next few months I think. all can not happen instantly, this process certainly takes time. and you have to look at history that has already happened.

We hope so because with bitcoin price is down, I think that can be a good chance for the altcoin to start increasing. Now, some altcoin trying to increase the price, although it is not much I am sure that soon, the altcoin price will rise higher. Yes, I am waiting for another explosion in altcoin which can happen in this year or next year.

well lots of people have high hopes post halving but you can't compare it to previous one as now we have pandemic lots of people are jobless. So don't expect a parabolic bull run like we had in 2017.

So for altseason to happen you need to look into BTC dominance which is ~67% at the moment and if you look at the previous alt-seasons (2017 and 2018) it was around 35-38%

Correct, I agree hence before investing we should always know what we are investing especially in altcoins since not all of them are just like BTC. But most people choose to minimize their risk first before doing anything stupid that would cost them a lot in the future. Hence we are talking about investment then it is not that easy to just invest a money especially if this is your hard earned money. Some would say invest your 75% money on Bitcoin and 25% on altcoins it all depends on us actually, choose what suits you.

As you above mentioned BTC is still keeping in rational rang for days. Most of the people think after BTC halving prices will be exploded and then altcoins will start to rise up. But no doubt it is just identifiable to predict what will happen in the future. There are some risks, but it is no exaggeration to say that the risk is part of the crypto-world. Bitcoin dominance is the main reason why I invest more in altcoins because this is a good time to consider buying some cheap coins, and it is certain that the market will soon grow again. Of course, I am not sure about my predictions, but everything can happen because the crypto market is a very unpredictable place, and you are not always accurate.

The last time alt season is famous is due to popularity of ICOs but not I dont see any progress on it. Only top altcoins are getting noticed and most of them are the old projects like eth, neo, and ada. New projects that been release has no significant impact, worse those IEO projects that has been listed on exchanges such as Binance are drop after few weeks. Maybe it add value on over all marketcap but does it really helps? Or just adding shitcoins on the market?

I don't know if alts can increase more after the halving let's hope that would happen but if you like to hold the coin for long term then it is good to buy now.
