it is a well known fact that altcoins have always gotten dumped whenever bitcoin price moves both up and down. it is mainly because all traders are trying to increase the amount of bitcoin they have to maximize their profit and that means dumping altcoins and going back to bitcoin. of course altcoins being mainly pump and dumps doesn't make things any easier for altcoin traders.
the loss of money is partly because of this and partly because most traders are either unfamiliar with the altcoin market or don't want to accept how it really works.

The price of the token is determined by the developers and as an investor you need to assess the project and you determine whether it is a viable project that can sustain and if everyone does that then we will not have these situation of people running away with money and valuations going down.

If you are foolish enough to invest in it thinking that it would give you the profit well above BTCitcoin who is at fault. The token projects are experimental and there is no guarantee that it would give you the profit. People usually dump the coins once they hit the market and only a few tokens are still surviving.

BTCitcoin is currency and if you are looking for profits then hold onto it rather than investing in tokens.

This is not how it works. If bitcoin rises to 16000$ then the altcoin may even fall more and you can buy much more than double of that altcoin. When you buy an altcoin with bitcoin, you should note its satoshi value. The aim should be to sell that altcoins at a higher satoshi value.

You're right, many are losing because they're committed to altcoins. That's fine if they are also in altcoins but the larger part must be in bitcoin.

I guess you can use that link to look at the price changes of altcoins and bitcoin in the long run. YOu will observe that the price of altcoins are better at their starting period but in the long run, they will just all fall down while the price of bitcoin does fall at some point but it never stops from going up unlike the other already dead altcoins.

It's always a lot happening where new investors they buy altcoin in large quantities want big profits more than bitcoin difference of just a few satoshi that's what they want because large amounts in altcoin will certainly produce more, but I think it's wrong if altcoin developers are not good then it will not develop in the tokens even now there are already many altcoins to difficult to rise because market conditions continue to change therefore it is difficult if altcoin is compared with bitcoin.

Maybe only new investors always make misunderstandings like this.

It's true in relation to long term investments because 95% of ICO will likely decay, while Bitcoin has a strong reputation. Altcoins differ a lot, if a small investor chooses shitcoins, s/he will loose money. But what's wrong with having Ethereum or Tether in a crypto portfolio? These coins can be easily exchanged to Bitcoins.

Honestly I've been thinking the same idea because I am seeing a lot of alternative coins pumping too these days like ZRX whose value gets an 80% increase over a week, so I if you bought that for example in worth $100 then probably you're getting $180 after a week unlike with bitcoin that has a slow pump deals given that its price is really high. However coins like ZRX is hard to find or hard to see where it is coming from so it is better to watch the market more often as the halving is going to take place.

In other words, you can say that most of the altcoin projects are here for stealing bitcoin. Trust me, that'swhat I have been observing for the last few years. Most of the times, newbie gets fucked though. A lot of projects were there in 2018 which just come out of nothing but steal a few thousands of BTC from the investors.

When you don't have much money to invest in crypto, you only need to buy bitcoin and hold it for some time. I don't know if that can give you a big profit, but I am sure that if you can hold for a long time, you will make nice money for that. But it is good if you can use some money to invest in bitcoin only, and not invest in the altcoin which doesn't have the potential to increase.

Many small investors tempt to invest in altcoins because they think that some altcoins can increase higher or get the pump, and that is what their mistake because not all altcoins can have that. If they can select the right coin, I am sure that they can make a profit in bitcoin, but that will need more time to see the altcoin will get pump higher.

I am quite confuse if OP is trying to advertise his/her article/website. The trade you have mentioned seems to me about USD pair. Otherwise I am not familiar with how you could buy double altcoins if in case BTC price become double. If alt pairs based on btc/alts then doesn't matter what is the btc price with USD. People are getting loss because they expect similar movement of btc for their alts which has not been happening everytime. Sometimes when BTC price become down alt price become down at the same time if the pair with BTC, so that time likely you might buy double coin as well. When you are trading with USD and you are holding btc then matter of concern. Trading with btc/alt doesn't much depended on btc prices.

An experienced investor also has his crazy thought in investments. Not entirely his portfolio will be in altcoins and it's like a bet for himself that he's just going for an unfamiliar altcoin and investing his spare money.

It's not just small investors, anyone who is holding alts will likely lose their Bitcoin value in the future, because alts tend to perform worse than Bitcoin ever since the 2017 bubble has popped. when people buy bitcoin they should know that whenever the price of bitcoin increases the price of altcoins a lot in relation to bitcoin it starts to fall a lot and takes a long time to recover and has scenarios that do not recover, for example, two years ago ETH price reached 0.1 BTC and I saw many people buying ETH at that price thinking that ETH would reach 0.2 BTC and today the ETH price is less than 0.025 BTC. Being an investor must be smarter in managing his investment.
Buying altcoin then Altcoin goes down when the price of BTC is unstable, it is the risk of fluctuating prices that must be accepted. that is very reasonable, if as a novice investor do not want to lose do not buy Altcoin at a time when the price of Bitcoin is not stable.
Also choose Altcoin which has high credibility and is in the top 10 CMCs.

As an experienced trader, you certainly understand how this investment and trading system can benefit the culprit. A trader must have good management how to manage his assets to get profit and yes, bitcoin has been a good investment asset for more than a decade and has been profitable for traders and investors.
And what I can trust today is, every time the price of bitcoin goes down, the price will recover.  If we can maximize the opportunity then traders and investors will get profit and this cycle has lasted a long time.
