What is secret about this?

It's just the message encoded in the coinbase of the block, anybody who mines the block can choose what to put in the coinbase.

I would prefer if every coinbase contained a timeline of the current state of the economy, rather than just the halving block.

I mean, it's nice to refer to Satoshi's message in 2009. Of course, the message is not secret, it can be seen by anyone who wants it.

Not a bad idea at all, but it's interesting to see how things changed in a matter of 11 years. I think it's pretty neat, especially as it's like a parallel to Satoshi's preferred Genesis Block message.

Perhaps it's just away of time stamping the current economic situation on the globe in relation to Bitcoin halving where the centralized Governments just wake up and print more money leading to inflation while for Bitcoin's case, the halving event is deflationary (leads to the reduction of the inflation rate in the bitcoin ecosystem over time )

With that said, props to f2pool for putting in a great message, in contrast to the past two halvings. Moves like this are going to be in history books, and are things we look back to in the future.

Exactly, and it's good that F2pool has somewhat put that message to reflect the current timeline. Satoshi started it, so it's good that they still continue this sort of legacy by putting hidden message for everyone to see.  Maybe next halving we will see a different one and this will continue on the next several halvings in our lifetime. And this is like a form of communication to the future generation.

putting messages in every block just makes the importance of it less important and just bland daily crap. it will just end up with people bickering over how accurate or biased the topic of the message becomes. thus not making it a landmark statement for history but instead just twitter with limits

though pools have nothing to stop them spamming blocks. lets just leave them to do it for landmark occasions/messages of significant importance

No, the governments bail out because of their wrong monetary police, and thats way they drop us in a difficult situation. That's the problem, F2Pool refers it in the message!

Regardless if it's the right move to be made or not(it's debatable), one thing's clear: the federal reserve is inflating the US Dollar going full on brrr mode. Which could potentially(not saying it's guaranteed) mess up the economy some time in the future.

So true. Any scheme for inflating the money supply, whether private or public, can only redistribute income and wealth, cripple or destroy the unit of calculation indispensable to a modern economy, weaken incentives to save, and generally cripple and eventually destroy the economic system. The eventual end is hyperinflation and economic disaster.

This is no hidden message at all, you just choose to believe that's true when in reality its just the message encoded on the block. Also, it is not like Satoshi ha the ability to predict the future or something, it is all in the mind of those reading + believe this is some secret message. How easily can some people be deceived

Well, there is nothing new about what these messages meant

But, it's nice to know about them. I guess he was trying to predict the future back in 2008.
