I have no idea if it is already posted earlier as I really not much active in this forum. But a quick scan in "Meta" shows me it is not discussed here. Quoting the actual announcement. First of all, happy halving to everyone!
I just want to inform that I will gradually be reducing my involvement in Bitcoin.org this year, it won't happen instantly but hopefully by the end of the year, I won't be around anymore. Over the years, I'm glad to have helped contribute to a project that has let so many millions of people learn about Bitcoin. It's really a massive honour. The domain name will be left in trusted hands, I have a few people in mind already. Alternatively, if anyone knows of any individuals or organisations that would be good, feel free to suggest (either here, or privately -- just DM me on Twitter). Ultimately, trust is very hard to measure, but I plan to be thorough and meticulous here and find the right people.
I guess for a lot of people, this will probably be some sort of relief. I can't say I've gotten along well with everyone, and some people have questioned my judgement. Hopefully whoever comes after me doesn't get sucked into drama as easily as I sometimes did (though that's also largely a product of being around in pretty dramatic times). Bitcoin.org really is an amazing resource, and we need to continue working on it and keep improving it. With Bitcoin being as complicated as it is for new people to understand, sites like Bitcoin.org are key to getting more mainstream adoption. Especially in avoiding getting Bitcoin labelled as some get rich quick scheme.
If we've had any collaboration over the years; I appreciate your contributions, and have learned a lot from many of you. I wish everyone good luck and success. Thank you. No doubt Bitcoin will keep succeeding and reaching new milestones with such a great community behind it.
Actual renouncement can be read at https://github.com/bitcoin-dot-org/bitcoin.org/issues/3332And one more question arises, will he want to part away with "Bitcointalk.org" domain too? (I remember he own this domain too).

The Bitcoin network protocol was designed to be extremely flexible. It can be used to create timed transactions, escrow transactions, multi-signature transactions, etc. The current features of the client only hint at what will be possible in the future.

OP, how about this one: Topic: Cobra's open letter to the Bitcoin community to change the mining algorithmYes, @cobra once sent the letter. Or maybe this thread can add information. Topic: Does Cobra control something over Bitcointalk and Bitcoin.org ?

Apparently Roger Vermin is interested in buying the domain. Hopefully Cobra won't get tempted.
The scammer was always ready to purchase it. Despite my dislike of Cobra, I do not think that he is that dishonest.

I doubt it is going to be a purchase and also Roger Ver will not be able to find a trustable person to represent him, or will a trustable person going to play his game. Besides: Current active contributors like Will Binns and Craig Watkins are already among the people I had in mind. Unless some past questionable behaviour is unearthed, it makes the most sense to go with them, but one of the reasons why I created the issue was to get alternatives to the "obvious" choices.

IMO people or organization who directly involved in Bitcoin, Cryptocurrency or Blockchain world most likely can't be neutral. After saw the announcement, i think lukechilds to transfer the domain to EFF or Linux Foundation is good idea.

I think handing it over to an organization, or at least a small group of people, rather than a single person would be a much better solution. Such an organization could include people with the most commits to bitcoin.org, such as Will Binns and David Harding, the most commits to bitcoin core such as Wladimir van der Laan and Pieter Wuille, and some other well known and trusted developers like Greg Maxwell and Andrew Chow. These are just names I've pulled off the top of my head - would be interested to hear other suggestions (or indeed, if the people I've named would actually have any interest in doing so).

Apparently Roger Vermin is interested in buying the domain. Would/could this be something Bitcointalk can use some of the forum's funds for if it comes to that? Not that I expect Cøbra to sell out like that, but it could be a good use of forum funds in the interest of Bitcoin in general.

The scammer was always ready to purchase it. Despite my dislike of Cobra, I do not think that he is that dishonest. I really can't say anything about him as I barely know Cobra, but let's just say that money can easily change people's minds so let's not slash out this possibility. Would/could this be something Bitcointalk can use some of the forum's funds for if it comes to that? Not that I expect Cøbra to sell out like that, but it could be a good use of forum funds in the interest of Bitcoin in general. Though I'd like to stay optimistic, time will tell if Cobra's going to hand over the domain to someone reputable or just sell it. After all, he said he's going to retire the "Cobra" pseudonym, so his reputation after handing over or selling the domain wouldn't really matter.

IMO people or organization who directly involved in Bitcoin, Cryptocurrency or Blockchain world most likely can't be neutral. I don't get why they can't be, but they should be to boost the community interest in Bitcoin. I even think Cøbra was a neutral guy afterall.
Would/could this be something Bitcointalk can use some of the forum's funds for if it comes to that? Not that I expect Cøbra to sell out like that, but it could be a good use of forum funds in the interest of Bitcoin in general. It's more about the future ownership of the domain in right hands, than the funds involved. Just saying.
