Can find it?
If so, the file is a virus.

or .. If file size of ziiped-wallet is [49.7 MB or 50MB or another], it is a Virus.

2.No option information
Please open qt-wallet in BinaryEditor.
and seach keyword = JSON-RPC
Can't find it?
If so, the file is a virus.

3.[Old coin] topic contributor
Exchange listed coin.
Block explorer with 10000over block-addresses.
Very famous coin...
If a ”new account” creates a topic for those coins, it's a scam.

Thank you for sharing this OP, hope it will warn any members here to not get trapped from scamcoin.

I would to add more scamcoin pattern based on my experience

• Brandnew / Old account (woke up) create self moderated or locked topic
• The user joined on Github less than 1 months
• Re announce an old coins/tokens has been announced from other users before (use search engine)
• Create a new Github (need to search the old Github)
• Use Virustotal (not 100% correct)

You can also post it here Report Malware and Suspicious Links here so Mods can take Action ! to get more attention from Moderator for delete it more faster.

Thank you for sharing your own "indicators" to identify projects that are potentially scam and/or "dangerous". One more thing, you can use the thread as mentioned by @Jawhead999 above to report projects that have the potential to spread ransomware/malware in their QT/binary files.

There is a dedicated board for scam accusation where you can write and report on a specific format and bring a better, more suitable, attention and awareness. If you found projects with scam indication, please move your topic to the said board. But so far, I see that you are yet to mention any project name?
