I guess all gambling issues will be auto solved when we are able to stay away from gambling for a week. But, staying away from gambling might require some external help from our family members. I guess people who are living with family or friends may not have any gambling issues. But only for the people who are leading their life alone might get more severely suffered by gambling.

There are lots of methods have been suggested across this forum for gamblers to recover from their problems related to gambling. Still, only for the gamblers who have external support, those suggestions might have been working. Because, without help from family or friends, a gambler never stay away from gambling hence their problems also stay with them.

Yeah external help is good but i would say that it wont really be that necessary and would rather be an optional thing because a person can eventually quit up for himself if he wanted to.

It do just matter with strong self discipline and will to quit gambling for good.If you do saw that you are already experiencing problems and risking out everything because of it then your own will and self realizations

will tell you that you should stop.We know on whats right and wrong, it will just depend if you do tolerate the wrong from the right thing and this is where people do differ in terms of decisions making.

Issues wont really come out or would be a main problem if you do play  gambling in moderation but in most cases, people are going overboard most of the time and do end up into these kind of

consequences and later on they do regret on what they have done.

are almost similar as all they want is to sustain and give
 their addiction always and in that way most of them are equal and fair.

I wouldn't say that dependent people are all the same. Someone is playing for the purpose of earning money and can't stop in time and fix the profit. Someone has a lot of money and they play for large amounts to test their nerves and they like these emotions so much that they can't stop. And so on.

Accordingly, the ways to get rid of addiction may differ.

It was an unfortunate thing to happen this time where people get addicted to online gambling. But even though it was happening in my self, I'd rather not to run for a doctor or any from the OP's list to ask help but rather to go counseling with my friends and relatives, and particularly with the family members. Addiction is a serious problem and Hiding this problem is not a solution if we want to get out. And the most effective thing that could help is to seek advice from near you, not the doctor.

There is an incident in our capital city where a man who lost everything from gambling committed suicide. but you know what's the worst thing is, he brine some guns with him and shoot most of the people in the casinos. he kills more than a dozen people before he killed himself. this is one of the bloody incidents can happen if people lose everything in a blink of an eye. they think they just lose everything, why not lose some people with them. scary right?

Personally I see many with series of damages due to their involvement in gambling addiction. What I noticed among those sect of individuals is, they're not really in concern about what happen to them while gambling will definitely have a negative impact on their families. Even their health implementations cannot be over emphasize as some of my friends are directly involved in gambling addiction. Let learn to be self control while gambling and set limit too.

This happens because the addiction and the frustration that went along with it because of the losses were left untreated early on. It would not have reached this very late stage had the victim himself or the family around him sought treatment or counselling or even rehabilitation. Sometimes, people take things easily until it bursts out into a point of no control.

Actually for some instance you will lose control for chasing your losses and to regain back your capital, for sure you already experience this but this totally sick things to do since you will surely regret after your money gone from those crazy bets, This one came first after the addiction so before anything bad to happen maybe let's have a proper discipline and bet only with small capital especially on luck based games.

Yes, we will regret after the money gone, and that will happens too with us. We will lose control if we still playing gambling for a long time, and we don't have discipline while we play gambling. I hope that we all can always manage our time and money by using discipline, and we can know how much money we should use in gambling so we will not regret it. ^ Have been already discussed but still caught my attention. Reactions and advice are also great but how will this help if the one who are getting addicted to gambling doesn't know if he is experiencing addiction already especially nowadays where most of us are being quarantined at home and one way of reducing the stress and boredom cause by the pandemic is by going to an online gambling. Definitely I am not against of the topic or discussing gambling addiction I just only want that on this thread should also include some signs and symptoms of gambling addiction because we can easily say that if we spent too much time in gambling or spending or losing huge amount every time we gamble then we can just easily conclude that we are already suffering from it when rich people can really spend thousands of dollars for their leisure like gambling each day does that make them gambling addicts too. Probably most people who are already suffering from gambling addiction denies the reality of being addicted to it and normally they ignore all the help including this thread because the first sign of being addicted to anything like gambling is the denial stage second is resistance of any help because they are still in denial stage etc. Nevertheless, this thread is really a good help to anyone but still acceptance is the key to remove any addiction.

Closing doors about the situation is not really accurate since there are addicted gambler's been helped by other parties and good thing their are service like this will help for those people who got hit by bad habits. And I will agree with you since its nice to see this existing many people will be helped if they will go to any of this, dependent persons have downturns so everything could change by the help of everyone.

Believe me or not, they are the one that knows your limits. But there are times that when wives are providing their recommendations, they often misunderstood by their husband, thus, their relationship fades. So if you really want to prevent things getting worst, you need to act upon yourself, and have an initiative to stop when you think that you already reached your limit.

Actually there are many online doctors and psychologists now that offers their services free to comfort and answer peoples concern specially this pandemic when people needs mental help as less of us can stay this long inside houses doing nothing.

This kinds of hotlines are not really popular because few people see gambling addiction as a problem and the addicts are too afraid to accept that they are addicted to gambling and they are also afraid to get help because they fear judgment from other people, this kinds of stigma and prejudice is what is keeping this hotlines so rare that hearing them for the first time surprises us. In relation to the fact that these hotlines are rare, the quote above takes the cake for the better alternative, a strong emotional support. The relation to the addict does not matter as long as you are there to help them and rehabilitate then you are making a big impact to them. I know that gambling addiction is a problem all around the world and I think familial support is the best thing that you can get. Individual should also change their attitude towards people that are having problems, this is the biggest obstacle they have to face and that is to be accepted again to the community they belong.

Kidding aside, when there's someone with you that is going to be a lot of help on fighting your addition on gambling. Even though it's not your girlfriend or wife as long as there's people who are supporting you, you will be okay. But sometimes, there will be a lot of toxic people around you and that is where's OP's post is going to help you, those hotline is indeed a very good way to communicate with other if you got nothing to hold on too. Those program will help you and you are going to be free to share anything with it since they are not going to know who are you.

In reality that really happens since even if they receive several advice but still we can see them still playing, I see numerous people doing this and I think for this case the needs on health professionals is really needed, I think the rehab is the most effective way to cure those addicted gamblers.

But I will disagree with your saying that no one can help them since if the single person nearest to him reacts on what he is doing then the people involve will be save.

me either doesnt know that those thing exist until i play online gambling and i see below thier site about gambling help ( if your experiencing addictions and alike ) and also  with the technology that we have now , its now easier to search them online using our internet capable device , just like  you do when your searching for numbers of police , hospital , fire stations , etc . and the other one which is our wife , i agree with that too because that is also what im doing . i confess the experience that i have when i play and he then give me advices
