Just today also I got another email asking me to confirm my blockchain email to finish up creating my account. This must be at least 8th email I got in last 30 to 45 days. But, this time their domain looked like so realistic, so decided to share here.

Always pay more attention before clicking any links on your inbox and on this forum as well. I have reported this domain to googles' Safe Browsing reporting and requesting you all to do reporting whenever you come across any suspicious domains. That will help all of us in long run.

Also pay attention to how you give your email address out, social media, registering for ico, bounties and anywhere your email address is asked of. Be sure its real and your details is not compromised.

If possible use one email address for certain things
A particular email for personal/private matters, another to register social media programs, and so on. Also check your draft, spam or trash messages as often as you can to see what's going on there, if you have been infiltrated your incoming message can be shifted there by the hacker

Email is one of the best ways where hackers could access your data and hack into your computer, surely in times of pandemic and lockdown screen time is increasing so hackers are getting more active too.

We can't really disable or completely wipe all of this hacker, so we better be careful of what we are doing on our computer. Just think before clicking and check everything.  Wink

Scammers have more time to spend creating a scam scheme using emails just like what you have provided. Even if there is no lockdown there are many scams going on and the best choice what to do is never open the email sent to you to avoid being scammed. There are people already who got scammed by thing scam emails.

Locked down or no lock down, scammers are always work. So, we need to be very careful of the sites we visit, checking is the site is truly legit is the first step. I make use of who.net to check a site domain, this has really helped me to know many scam sites and many that should be avoided. And about email, I orefer to not even give my email to any exchange or wallet, I make use of well known reputed wallet and I get the wallet using their official sites which also really helped. Even, if the site is legit, I do not give my email to any site at all, that is why I do mot even participate in any airdrop because most needs verification and they could be scam which can leads to phising attacked like the one in the picture above.

And don't forget. Since lockdown, many office activities are done from home (WFH). Social media apps like skype (for example), also prone to scammer crime activities.

Scammers and hackers would take this situation as their advantage to fool other people so always be careful when someone messages you out of nowhere and giving you a link. Do not click those links, or the good thing does not entertain those messages. Email is one of their ways to attack people they always send messages containing an unsecrured link and if you are beloved on them and you input your personal information, they can use it for some other purposes. They can also access some of your accounts including your wallets so if you really want to be safe do not open those messages.

Everyone should read this, COVID-19 Consumer Warnings and Safety Tips. So yes, US government has recognised, that hackers are really very active and likely taking advantage of the lockdown situation. The only way we can protect ourselves is really learn how to identify phishing emails/websites related to Covid-19 so that we won't fall victims here.

Its best when signing up for ICOs and untrusted Bitcoin services to use a different email to your main one so that any malicious emails are sent to the one that you don't read often and your main one is safe. I tested this a while ago and the ICOs on this forum are certainly selling their members data as I still receive spam emails trying to sell me services months after I used my email with them.

Ico projects or shady crypto websites try so much to get people to give them their email addresses, even when they have no need for this addresses, and are never going to send any legitimate message about the project or their services to these people through that email. But instead sell it to people would try to scam them by spamming their mail. The other time I saw a service on this forum requesting email addresses from people to be eligible for a free giveaway or draw IIRC; isn't it obvious why they needed those addresses, but I wouldn't be surprised that alot of people gave out their email addresses to them.

They are reinventing and investing in domain emails. These scammers will keep doing what they can just to scam people. The rampant phishing emails and extortion emails only show that these scammers are non-stop working during this time.

This is what we can do, to warn each and everyone so that whenever they receive an alike email, they can ignore and delete it forever.

Its best when signing up for ICOs and untrusted Bitcoin services to use a different email to your main one
Not only the ico's project but also all types of untrusted sites can sell them to various persons. Generally, I don't use my personal email for a fast time. That means I always use my other emails there. sometimes I check that mails and see various type of email comes to my account. for example, must crypto-related, then some sexual services, some are fitness related, etc, So

So that are always suggest to just ignore these emails. And don't be curious to know more after seeing them. And better to aware of putting the main account when you feel something suspicious.

Always be careful at any time, hackers are hackers they will do their best just to steal money or accounts to someone else and they always grab the opportunity to do it. They will not lose some advantages, they use our current situation to fool other people. They know that we are now suffering from this pandemic virus, we are now jobless and we really need money right now to survive in this community quarantine, the help of the government is not enough for us to feed our family so we tend to do something to make money as well. Hackers know that if they send you some links or offer you something related to money, you will take it because you really need it so always be careful.

Do not open those messages on your Gmail especially if you don't know who messages you. Just ignore it.

I can also confirm that the spam/scam/phising emails have incrased on my inbox. I never ever click on such emails, also not for any other online service i am useing.
The best thing would be, if someone is concerned that an account/service has been compromised to manually enter the URL in the webbrowser.

Another thing that came up in my mind reading this topic is google adverts - scam can go like this:
1. You enter exchangeXYZ on google search
2. first hit might NOT BE real exchange but a google advert advertising with exchangeXYZ.com
3. After clicking on the first hit (the advertising) you might be on a phishing side. I did see this happening for well known exchanges like bittrex, poloniex and others

I saw those advertisements a few times until now, sometimes i did get in touch with the exchange "warning" them that i have spotted a phishing advertisement.
In most cases nothing would happen, but please keep in mind that clicken on advertisements on ANY WEBSITE could lead to an compromised account.

In order to stop this i did block the advertisements with an adblocker or even better (if you have one) on our content blocker like pihole (pihole is easy to setup and fast enough for most 1-4 user home networks).

People's unawareness on a hackers variety of methods to access their personal data put their assets at risk because they get easily carried away by sweet talk. Hackers exploit every situation and to protect yourself as well as your funds, then you should do research and expand your knowledge about security awareness. Always remember that a simple mistake, like giving personal information on an unknown website can make a huge impact, such as losing your funds. Don't get easily deceive by the name because it is usual for a hacker to pretend to be a member or part of a notorious organization to get your attention.

You can also directly report that within your gmail, report spam and blocked. These scammers are persistent they are trying their best to fool us, so in terms of the wallet we need to be careful about clicking links, you made the right decision for checking the email contact. Next time, use a separate email just for your wallet only don't use the same email that you register with some site or join some bounty, airdrop, and giveaways, etc. Luckily in my case, I don't receive any spam/phishing links because I have an email that is only intended for wallets.

According to report I read, tat scam even reduced in this time of pandemic, but that does not mean they have extinct, many people have even been scammed using pandemic scam methods, even, hospitals are not left out. But, just to let people know that scammers are working every time not this time alone.
