Wrong Section for this news? I will be the first to point out that Ripple/XRP is not an actual crypto altcoin, but a 100% "pre-mined" scheme.

Quote
The "freezing" of McCaleb’s funds revealed an interesting feature tied to the Ripple public database. Ripple Labs can freeze XRP accounts using two possible methods: one can stop the functionality of an individual account while the "global freeze" can bring the entire network to a halt. The global freeze is not a rumor, and Ripple Labs issued a statement about it on August 1, 2014.

Kitao, the CEO of SBI holdings is also a Ripple board member. But would they be able to make Ripple a remittance company internally in Japan as well for cross-border solution is the real question. They have been rooting for it for years but all they have done is strike a deal here and there without any solid implementation.

I found this article as well a few time ago https://cryptonews.bizlim.com/news/sbi-plans-to-utilize-ripple-payments-network-to-consolidate-atm-access-in-japan?uid=341539

SBI is a Ripple partner, and it is not weird if they try to offer for its user to use Ripple in order to they have another income from this corporation.

And Ripple is a centralized exchange, we have known for a long time that the coin always have a corporation with some banks in this world.

Ripple is not a cryptocurrency as such it is a investment scheme that is operated by banks through hidden structure. There are numerous articles and videos that suggest that with proofs on Google. Therefore it does not matter what they are doing or with whom they are collaborating.

Although ripple is a crypto it is anything but decentralized and people here hate it for it . But I would say the adoption of this is good for blockchain technology ATleast not necessarily for crypto currencies.

Ripple again in the news, and yet the token is still struggling to even keep the hold on 20 cents, forget about the 50 cents I bought my XRP for,,, hehe.

I guess this is the true example of how the tech progress, how developments and adoption increases, but the token itself never needs utilized plus it gets dumped by its holders. Sad.

SBI Remit, a subsidiary of the Japanese financial giant SBI Holdings, in partnership with Hamamatsu Iwata Bank will launch an international money transfer service based on RippleNet.

"Our mission is to provide financial services related to money transfers of foreign residents, and we use Ripple's distributed ledger technology, which is characterized by the speed of making a deposit and low commissions."

Let them do whatever they want, Ripple is already a horrible one and they keep getting big "news" in the method of just paying big amounts to some places or arranging big deals with places just to stay relevant but we all know they are not. It is a premined scam coin like ProfWigSlipper said and nothing more.

If the whole control of a coin is in the hands of two people then there is no centralization and there is nothing that can make it worth something in the long run aside from that two people keep pumping the market up about it and nothing more, the day they decide to get rich on it and scam all investors, they can and maybe you can doubt why would they but I do not want to take that risk.

Only centralized coin I am using is bnb, and I am not too happy about it neither, I hope to quit that one day but so far they have done 100x more to BNB then what Ripple did in twice the time.
