I have 10.2k in a neptune  4Th likely unit from KNC if i can buy BTC for 6K the amount it would mine...i"ll punt that direction

I'd be surprised if it goes to $100. That would be about an 85% drop in the current value. BTC is good at surprising us though so who knows.

This of course the received wisdom at this present time and I was fully aware of it.

However, when piramida starts *facepalming* 'naysayers', experience has taught me that is time to sell all Bitcoins, empty exchange accounts of every last cent, and when in polite society, completely deny that you have ever even heard of Bitcoin.

Maybe stolen Goxcoins are being sold?

And stolen coins from everywhere else.

If that is the case, it could be a long slow drip of perpetual selling pressure.

I would have too.  Unless you managed to get more in the process.   And that's just dumb luck.  But congrats if you did.  The smartest people in the Bitcoin space that I know, would have facepalmed selling at 1050.  Because yes ... Bitcoin is going much higher, and that's a potentially unnecessary risk to take. 

I've noticed that the day trader types don't seem to have any faith or confidence in the protocol or the infrastructure.  A lot of you guys don't look past the short term.  Its strange to me.

We aren't going to $100.  The base of the price (random guess - well into the 300's) has become much more substantial.

A huge percentage (at least 10 - 20 percent) of the whole bitcoin economy are coins that at some point were stolen from its previous owners.

Everyone here is in some way laundering stolen money. But because it's anonymous and there is money to be made, nobody seems to care about that dark fact about this "revolution that will change the world". Yeah, it's changing the world allright... into one big money laundering scheme.
