Apple approved today our new Bitcoin Wallet app - bitWallet - and released it to the App Store.  bitWallet is a full bitcoin wallet, but this first version disables sending bitcoins directly from the app.  We were totally upfront with Apple about what the app can and cannot do.  The approval process took about three weeks, which is quite longer than it usually takes to approve an app.

Three weeks ?

Well nice to have more software. If it went through Apple hands for such long time it should be fine program.

Kudos to you. It's nice to see someone get through to Apple with wallet apps. I still miss having blockchain on my iPhone, so here's hoping you can get a full wallet feature set in the future!

Then.. How could one use this to pay for example dinner? Apple could jump in the bandwagon and allow easy payments for consumers, it would build to their reputation rather than degrade.

So it's a wallet app... from which you cannot spend.  How is this different from one of a plurality of other apps available for iPhones?
Last I knew, Apple were only blocking the ones from which you could spend in the first place.

I don't know how is it possible! I think Apple is wrong in their politic to Bitcoin - they can't understand what profit they can get if they would support bitcoin

That would be something tremendous and they'd surprise everyone by this action

Good app, no internal web browser though.

Do you have the source?

I just downloaded this app and it's excellent.  It's fully featured, stable and has a slick interface.  iPhone users can now finally receive AND PAY with Bitcoin using this app.  If you own an iPhone, you should really try it and give these guys some support.  I can finally do something I've never been able to do before - pay with Bitcoin at a brick and mortar store.

Please release the source code to the app. It looks wonderful, but honestly, I can't help but get the too good to be true suspicion. Like the inputs.io situation.

It will also help make sure it's fully secure by having external audits.

I too, would love for ReCat to look over the source code and say that it's safe (as a non-programmer, the more the merrier IMO).

I'm hardly a programmer, And I don't know objective-C. It'd be best to be public so it can be audited by anyone.
