Almost your entire post history is replies to people who've forgotten their wallets, and in almost all of them you're asking them to PM you, send an e-mail to coolga***@gmail.com or split their recovered BTC with you. What relevance does it have to know how much BTC OP owns?

...could anyone tell me how to do a btc address analysis to get the right keyspace?
If you're hoping that you could just bruteforce the private key by figuring out which part of the keyspace your private key is in based on just the public key/address... then you're trying to do the "impossible". The nature of SHA256 hashing etc makes it impossible to figure out where in the keyspace your private key comes from.

If this was actually possible, then bitcoin would be fundamentally broken and useless. As anyone could take any given address, figure out the keyspace to look in and start bruteforcing away. No one's coins would be safe.

If you don't actually have the original or a backup of the wallet data file, or a seed mnemonic or "most of" the private key... and all you have is a public key/address... then your coins are lost. Undecided

Stop judging people in advance, we all know exactly what this forum is for.

All right ladies and gentlemen, I received the public key in hex format, could someone explain to me how to get the private key from it?

Not possible.

It works other way - from private key you receive public key.
Now the only way is to check all the possible private keys and find which one generates your public key.

Not possible.

And btw.. you don't need to mask parts of the public key.
They are called public key for a reason..

And if you did that to not reveal which public key / address you are talking about.. if a transaction has been done from that address, it is extremely easy to find out which address and public key you are talking about.
A simple scan of the blockchain is enough.

So.. either way.. masking the public key didn't help you here in any way.

Stay away from stupid comments.

Then you should maybe stop asking stupid questions about something you have been told is not possible.

I will be grateful for any help from professionals.

If anyone is offering you help with this, he isn't a professional, but a scammer.
No sane person would claim to be able to recover the private key from a public key.

That's what this forum is for asking questions, right?

I have never studied this topic and would like to get help from experienced users as much as possible.

That's what this forum is for asking questions, right?

I have never studied this topic and would like to get help from experienced users as much as possible.

And that's absolutely fine.

But keep in mind, you have asked whether it is possible to calculate the private key out of a public key.
And you got your answer that this is not possible and that this would make bitcoin worthless.

ECDSA is used in different fields, not just cryptocurrencies / bitcoin.

If you are asking for professional help, chances are high that scammer will contact you claiming they can help you (while this simply is not possible) just to get a few bucks from you.
Or otherwise they claim they can help you and send you a "tool", which itself is malware (and no, anti-virus software does not detect properly written malware).

So.. no, you can not recover the private key from a public key. And anyone who claims there is a way is either delusional or a scammer.

ah... puzzle ;-) You want to get 1.5 BTC

You asked for the range, so taking into account this list:
https://raw.githubusercontent.com/JeanLucPons/Kangaroo/master/puzzle32.txt
the range is
Code:
20000000000000000000000000000000000000
3FFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFF

Good luck!

Nice catch!
The matter that's his address from a supposed "forgotten wallet" belongs to the puzzle transaction proves that his story is the OP is a lie.
Or he just used the wrong terms and words, because newbies often use bitcoin "wallet" instead of bitcoin "address".
The latter looks like the case, still, look at the title  Undecided

@Marynarz, if you're bruteforcing the puzzle transaction, these are the best threads to get help:
Because even if there's a "language barrier", at least users will know that your goal/issue is related to the software.

But the replies about "getting the private key from the public key is impossible" is still correct and never been wrong.
It's just the "puzzle transaction" outputs' private keys' range are too small compared to the whole prv key length so it's possible to bruteforce them.
Lastly, knowing the public key wont help you to bruteforce the private key.
