Making list on failed project will remind some people about bad moment of the past. Both investors and hunters will definitely have a bad memory of the past. It is better to move forward and just forget about them.

I don't trust new projects that introduce bounty campaigns anymore, so I carefully choose projects this days, not all project will have good devs for sure but it's always about the money, once they make some million dollars they will vanish

The first time I would experience a scam bounty project was from quarkchain, I wasted so much time and energy on this project because it was already listed on exchange with good volume but in the end no single penny was paid, the second experience was from Nestree, few other bounty hunters were paid though but many aren't

1. Yes wallet
2. Avxchange
3. Dispatch
4. Xcard
5. Storichain
6. Pchain
7. Miracletele

Here are few I can remember, the lists is very long but can't remember them anymore, I don't blame those that quit bounty because if you sit down and recall all your precious time you wasted on these scam projects you will feel discouraged
Xcard has received a lot of attention from bounty hunters and investors. But they quickly became scammer after the end of private sales. This is definitely a biggest scammer project in 2019

Too many things to worry about as a bounty hunter

1. You may never get paid
2. You may get paid and coins or tokens become useless
3. You may get paid and team decide to exit scam on you
4. Sometimes you are forced to do KYC since bounty rules are changeable

What do they mean ? This topic is discussing scam projects in this market. So we need to list as many scam projects as possible, and your comment has nothing to do with topic of OP

if everyone decided to put out list of projects that ended up as scams, i doubt if this page will contain us. this goes to say that bticointalk is a decentralized platform that allows everyone to publicized his project but scammers use that opportunity to stress hunters, scam potential investors and product fake tokens that has no value in the market. it shows that world is a scandalous place to be.
Be careful out there everyone.

Unactive Development ProjectS
1. XCARD
2. Citios
3. OOObtctoken (OBX)
4. Mb8coin (MB8)

You can say OOOBTC token in purely scam because don’t expect it’s development will be active. I think MB8 coin was real uses product and liquidity, if they have been made a e-commerce platform where this coin will be a lot of utilize. Development isn’t satisfactory so that investors can't keep trust, so big affected on price.

Blockburn could just be one. I have participated to that campaign lol I never thought they've be a scam since they were already in the exchange although some had already warned us because its only listed to the scam exchange so I did go ahead to join.

XCARD seem to look really legit with their images. I can't remember which campaign I joined during the time when Xcard was promoted but I saw a lot of users wearing their signature.

Do you think they are actually legit but just didn't got funds so they just disappear at all which we now think are scam?

These are just a few scam projects in this market, in fact the list will be a lot more like that. We should list the successful bounty because it will be a lot more helpful than listing scam projects

Excellent suggestion!!!

Just checked the bounties section, and we have a total of 13,000 threads. Some of them may not be bounties, but even with a conservative estimate, it is safe to assume that we had more than 10,000 of them since 2017. And how many of them paid good rewards to the bounty hunters? May be 500, or at the most 1,000? So it will be easier to list the successful bounties rather than listing out the scams.

There are so many projects here on Bitcointalk that turned scam and abandon projects. I guess 90 percent of the bounties here on Bitcointalk is not really good and have no future at all. Some members here made a list, some of it has a bounty and some does not have but it is important to know which projects are scam. Here are the threads, there is a huge list thanks for these guys for compiling it.

You never know how a bounty campaign end up because we never know the funding status of a project because that is not transparent and lots of projects now do not reveal how much they raised rather they just manipulate it by fake figures and in the end they claim bankruptcy and exit scam. May be there is a need for ico registration authority to fight scams and bringing transparency to the procedure.

Here is the same. There should be a Regulation for Every Bounty Campaign to Continue the Bounty until the ICO completed. Some of them are closed even before the ICO. So our Time and Effort are getting useless each time.

Therefore we would like to kindly request from Bitcointalk Team please arrange a Procedure or Regulation to overcome this problem soon.

Thank you for mentioning my scam list, I always appreciate any effort towards fighting against shady cryptocurrency projects and fraudelent bounties. From my point of view, many projects on this forum and outside it didn't turned scam.

I mean they were scam from the very beginning. Bounty campaigns are often used by scammers to promote their project for free. We can't consider native tokens of any project as valid payment until project is successful.

If project is scam from the beginning, then it doesn't matter for scammers how much to pay bounty hunters. You never know whether bounty campaign is legit or not, and again it doesn't actually matter - in most cases - scammers are scammers from the beginning or they're not good enough to maintain new project on severe market like this.

This sentiment tells something that many people are trying to take advantage of the market and find its way as the best strategy to accumulate money by way of scamming. But unfortunately, people are learning already with this kind of trick and that is why we can see a lot of unsuccessful projects exist in the market today.

It surely there is a lot more coming and a long list to see in the coming days. In fact, I'd never see some of those OP's list until it has been listed.
I could say that, the increasing numbers of exposing scam projects will give a huge factor to crypto and that it cleaned up and let the legit ones stay.

I heard with insure bounty campaign have been scam because with lower price and little reward for distribution, right now they have been pause bounty campaign after running several weeks, bad result for participants because they are waiting for reward and coin have been listed on exchange market before.

Airwallet already scammed? Can't believe they left the community. This was Korean based project and they looked professional at the first stage! Bounty participants earned huge money from this bounty campaign! This is why no new altcoin should be trusted. All are a scam, soon or later!

There are lots of scammy projects that have come and gone and many are still preparing to come out. I don't think it's easy to detect scam projects too.

I don't think Xcard scammed already. They had no ICO or IEO, i heard they have plan for an IEO in Probit exchange after the Covid19 pandemic! Maybe bounty hunter still can give them a chance before spreading scam news about Xcard!
