Im thinking something that is more advanced, for sure technology is already futuristic level at that year, there will be no problem storing this forum up to the 2140 but I think it would be very different.

But the data here in the forum are really is a history to bitcoin and cryptocurrency I think if people in 2140 would get goosebumps just like we do if we see or read things that are from the past.

I also got amazed by some legendary posts here in the forum that I didn't expect to see like the legendary Pizza Guy is here in the forum something like that, others in the future might also be amaze about today.

Lol, that was one of my first thoughts.

The second is that Vod and TECSHARE will somehow still be feuding from beyond the grave--or if science has progressed to the point where your consciousness can be uploaded to the internet by 2140.  Cryptohunter will probably have quadruple digit numbers of alt accounts by then, and he'll still be bitching about the unfairness of the DT system (or whatever else he can troll about in 120 years).

On a serious note, it is strange to contemplate what things are going to look like that far into the future.  I'd love to see what the internet will have become by then--and also what's going to become of bitcoin.

Although bitcoin is still the result of experimental financial innovations, bitcoin can be projected as the most useful innovation in internet history. We still cant predict with certainty what will happen to bitcoin and this forum in the next 120 years. The realistic target now is how we should be able to maintain and accelerate the adoption of bitcoin as a global currency so that this forum can survive or be developed into epotalk.

Unfortunately I don't have crystal ball, so I can only predict... It's very long time until 2140 and it's hard to imagine how world will look then. Damn, we don't have idea how we will live after 10 or 20 years. Just look how world looked like 120 years ago in 1900. You see how much everything has changed, I think in next 120 years there will be even bigger changes.
We don't know how internet will look then, we don't know will Bitcoin still will be a thing. But as @Watoshi-Dimobuto
said, it's most likely that Bitcointalk still will be run on current SMF version and Epochtalk still won't be ready to use .

I'm sure in 2140 no new forum ranks will be added to the forum and there will be Legendary with 100k earned merit. People will still complain how difficult it is to get merit, still start their posts with "Sir" and place application posts to CFNP/Closed campaigns.

I would say that at that time you could not see the internet again as it is now, you will go back to the ancient era, where people no longer used the internet, electricity, and the like, You will forget this forum and you will live traditionally/manually with wood fuel, cryptocurrency is a history that you collect at that time.

It is better if we will focus on the presents rather than being curious on what will happen in that year. 2140 is a century from now and for sure we are all dead in that year. There are a lot of improvements that we should do in order to have more information and also to have an access to it easily in order to see the developments of the forum. The good quality posts are keep increasing over the years and that is good because as long as many members are learning from it. I'm sure that we are in the good hands of the moderators and administrators so we should expect that there are many surprises or big developments in these following years.

The forum is still the same because this is the reason why it becomes popular by having a lot of contents and simple UI. In the year 2140, the same problem we are facing people does not know how to read the rule, struggle and complain about the merit system, spoon feed to them what they need ( I highly recommended we avoid this and let them explore and learn through this forum ). I see btc as dead as most of humanity will be in 2140.

On a more positive note I will be really dead in 2140.

Most likely I will die before 2077.

 I would be 120 in 2077.

As for the fate of this forum in 2040 maybe Theymos has a plan for it.
