Griffon straight razor. Nice blade made in Germany. Needs work to make it shave ready. One of the scales is broken as shown in the picture. It was held together with thread which I removed to clean a little. If you have any questions, feel free to ask.

15 BTC or best offer

This is a shaver, not a display piece. So don't let the broken scale bother you. In fact, you'll be getting a good deal on a great blade because of it. If your reservation to buying this is you not knowing just how cool it is to use a straight razor (Mach 3? Seriously?) and worrying about the labor involved in restoring a blade, take a look at this: http://artofmanliness.com/2011/04/22/how-to-buy-and-restore-vintage-straight-razors/

If your reservation is "Who is this guy?" Go here and search my name.

Is it me or do both sides appear sharp? I don't know what interest a dual-edge straight razor would be.

It's an old blade, so it has some hone wear from being sharpened.

Possibly. I have one I plan on restoring one. Then I have a Gilchrist, which is pretty cool (Lincoln was carrying a Gilchrist pocket knife when he was shot). It just looks like it was kind of restored with some kind of grinder or something. But it's a big blade. I'm not sure what size, but it's heavy and way bigger than 5/8.
