It usually takes under one minute for me but it also depends on how much gas and gwei you are using for the transaction, if you are using low values then the transaction can take more time for faster transactions use recommended gas and gwei settings.

Yes usually for almost even for bitcoin too. Etheruem needs gas for its transaction, so where it is not enough as you want to manage your fees, it also delays you. Meanwhile, also be sure you are sending to etheruem wallet too.

It should be a few hours, just leave it alone and it will be confirmed automatically but that also depends on the traffic on the blockchain too. Sometimes i tried to create a new tx to the same address with higher fees to push my old tx that used very small fees that didn't meet the standard and that may push your old tx to the block priority

How long does an ETH transaction stay pending before it gets dropped?
I had a lot of stuck eth transactions with etherdelta and forkdelta. Mainly because of setting fees at minimum possible or network troubles. Usually, it takes few hours to get dropped, sometimes it got confirmed. But i didn't try to send pending eth. Something like cpfp with bitcoin, but i don't think it works.

Its depending in how much gas that you're using, before you send ethereum or other erc20 token, go check for gas first at https://ethgasstation.info there are visible information for safe/minimum gas and fastest gas. Its can be changed anytime. May it can be help you.

It'll stay pending until it gets dropped from the mempool, after which the balance will be returned to your originating wallet.
How long this will take is anybody's guess, but anywhere from a few days to a month should be accurate. It really depends on the current network load and the number of transactions currently in the mempool.

It can take a couple of hours, depending on the network congestions for the particular day, always you ensure you check you gas requirement each time before you initiate a transaction, I personally use slightly above recommended value just to get some preference when the condition changes/

I have seen 24 hours pending time. Didn't know that eth network was badly conjested and my gas was low so it took miners hours to process it. Since then I always check the ethgasstation.info before proceeding

How long does an ETH transaction stay pending before it gets dropped?
If it does not fail and it is still processing, it will continue to be on pending until the network reduces the transaction fee. Since you knew you were in haste to get your transaction executed, you should not have used a lower gas fee. The network usually suggests the gwei to be used and most times, it also suggests the gas limit. You can decide to use the one in the middle, in order not to wait too long.

The best way to do before sending an ETH or making any ethereum transaction is to check first the suggestion or recommended transaction fee, you can check it here: https://ethgasstation.info/I also don't understand what OP said by the term dropped, does it mean to be sent or to become invalid/cancelled?

You may want to add some gas and speed up the transactions if you use metamask you can see the expected time by the fee you chose for a transaction.

Since then I always check the ethgasstation.info before proceeding You must try to push your transaction if that was getting pending more than 24 hours. If your transaction didn't get priority by the block and then when there was a new transaction that has been putting more fees than your transaction, the block will actually confirmed the new tx rather than your old tx.

I have never experienced a delayed or failed transaction, if the cost to send is too small it will usually be confirmed in a long time and it does not fail, maybe you can just wait a few days and always check your transaction

When Sending transaction On ETH network is best to be mindful of the gas your are using some platforms at time might use lower gas which will slow transaction down so just be aware of it and increase if necessary

To avoid situations like this especially when it is very urgent you should try to increase your gas to send, I usually don't use the calculated gas especially when I need a quick transaction, a little more gas won't hurt you rather it will save you the headache for worrying your transaction is still pending for hours, just follow the guide to speed up transaction given.

Still depend if the network has really clogged or the traffics of transaction has piles up even with higher cost of gas would still result to delay. Same goes to other smart contract, but eth network still is the fastest as recorded with so many users using it. Others are more faster but their users are not comparable with eth, so we can visualize why sometime traders or users experienced a high percentage of delay also depends on the active miners of that network.

depends on how much fee is used in the transaction and don't forget to check the fee recommendation at https://ethgasstation.info/. If your fee is bigger than ethgasstation recommendation, your transaction is more fast. It also depends on the opposite.
