Countdown clocks can either be displayed as a static text or as images as follows:

May 20, 2020, 02:00:00 PM

Code:
[time]tomorrow[/time]
ABCDEFGHIJKLM

Code:
[img]https://seanja.com/secret/countdown/gif.php?time=tomorrow[/img]

To understand the codes that follow, you need to understand that in different parts of the world dates are written down differently.  This cartoon posted by 2586 shows the ISO_8601 date & time format that is used in code:

For example, the 21st of June, 2023 ( 2023-06-21 ) would be displayed as:

June 21, 2023, 12:00:00 AM

Code:
[time]1687305600[/time]
ABCDEFGHIJKLM

Code:
[img]https://seanja.com/secret/countdown/gif.php?time=2023-06-21[/img]

The text version uses an Epoch & Unix Timestamp and a tool to calculate a time into the future can be found via this website:

https://www.epochconverter.com/

In our example, I have chosen the date at midnight GMT:

Users around the world can also toggle the local time so that they know the auction will end when they want it to instead of when they (potentially incorrectly) calculate via GMT time.

(Note that in this instance the auction would end ten hours earlier as I am in the GMT +10 Time Zone).

I can then narrow down the time even further to 2023-06-21 01:23:45 (GMT +10) as:

Which will give us:

June 20, 2023, 03:23:45 PM

Code:
[time]1687274625[/time]
ABCDEFGHIJKLM

Code:
[img]https://seanja.com/secret/countdown/gif.php?time=2023-06-21-01-23-45[/img]

In every case the countdown clock will utilise the time on your local system based on the time that was originally calculated by the OP of each auction.

The gif clock image size can be adjusted down or up as follows:

Code:
[img width=400]https://seanja.com/secret/countdown/gif.php?time=2023-06-21-01-23-45[/img]

(Note: Change the width size from 400 to another value eg 175)

Code:
[img width=175]https://seanja.com/secret/countdown/gif.php?time=2023-06-21-01-23-45[/img]

End notes:

Unfortunately, the BBCode [countdown] does not work here on the BitCoinTalk.org forum:

Code:
[countdown=12/31/2020 5:00 AM;It is finally here]Count down:[/countdown]

I have also discovered that BCT will convert your time code (see above) and convert it to this format:

Code:
[time]01 June 2023, 12:00:00[/time]

Which will be displaied as follows:

June 01, 2023, 02:00:00 AM

(note, you should be seeing a time that is the equivalent of 02:00 GMT on the first of June 2023 but adjusted to your local system's time.

An occasional bump.

(Can't seem to delete previous bumps due to section of the Forum we are in).
